What the gurus are saying

One expert praises it as a gentle, effective makeup remover that rinses clean without irritation, especially for waterproof eye makeup, and notes a single jar lasts months with daily double cleansing. However, another found it leaves behind plasticky residue that requires extra breakdown, and feels outdated compared to richer, more nourishing balms now available. The balm does the job, but those exploring options may want to test how it rinses on their own skin first.

"From everything I remember, I did really like Green Clean. This is a small little thing. Good for your travel bag. This is their cleansing balm. I love a cleansing balm. It's the first step in a double cleanse."

"It broke down and rubbed down and then emulsified, but with this it always left little plasticky feeling like little bits of balm that had to break down further. It feels like the starting point of a cleansing balm, and whilst it has nice ingredients and does the job, it's a little bit outdated. There are many more richer, more nourishing balms with better ingredients that just feel nice on the skin. It's decent but outdated, and I feel like it's been replaced by many. This was everywhere at one point, but now it just doesn't hold up. There's too many better options in today's standards for a cleansing balm in my opinion."

"This cleansing balm has a special place in my heart because it is the very first cleansing balm that got me into double cleansing. I love it for a couple reasons: number one is it's really gentle and effective at removing waterproof mascara and eyeliner that I wear on a regular basis, and also it doesn't cause irritation at least for me for my eyes. And two, when you rinse it off it leaves minimal residue. Even though it's on the pricier end for its value and how much you get in a 100ml standard jar, it took me about over 6 months to get through it and I double cleanse on a daily basis. I highly recommend trying this one."
