"The Panthenol Skin-Smoothing Shield Cream, panthenol is kind of an unsung hero, it doesn't get the attention of ingredients like hyaluronic acid even though it's well researched and fantastic for calming and hydrating skin, and we get disclosure that this has 10% panthenol, a great level. It feels very hydrating and yet it's actually lightweight, that's why I'm dinging it just a bit, because as a person with dry skin I think I prefer to get my panthenol in my serum step. But if you have oily skin and you're looking for a nice lightweight and yet very hydrating cream, you could love this. This is a good example of Axis-Y's new era, no longer formulating with fragrance or essential oils but adding in ingredients like madecassoside and ceramides. It's definitely a summer moisturizer for me, and it's a good first step if you're doing a retinoid sandwich, it works great in that system. It's a little lower in my ranking because it'll take me a while to finish it, but I still think it is an incredible product."
