For a mineral formula it's impressively lightweight, with a fluid texture that spreads way more easily than those thick, pasty mineral sunscreens we've all learned to dread. For very sensitive, reactive, or rosacea-prone skin that doesn't do well with chemical filters, this is a genuinely comfortable option and the SPF 50 gives you really solid protection. The one caveat is the usual mineral sunscreen issue, on deeper skin tones it can leave a slight white cast. The key ingredients are zinc oxide, titanium dioxide, and Avène Thermal Spring Water."

"This is a tinted runny liquid that feels like a lightweight lotion. It rubs in easily, but it only comes in one shade, which is way too warm and too dark for me. And it goes on very splotchy and very unevenly. [...] But aside from the color, the other reason that I can't recommend this one is because it never dries back after 20 minutes. "My number one pick hands down is Avène Solaire UV Mineral Multi Defense Tinted SPF 50. I'm recommending this for very specific scientific reasons in addition to it being a very cosmetically elegant product that just feels great on the skin. What stands out the most about this compared to all the others is the placement of iron oxides which is much higher up on the ingredients list. Usually you will see that all tinted sunscreens that have iron oxide in them, it's usually the last ingredient on the list, so maybe that means that this one packs more of a punch in terms of protection, which is definitely what we are going for. This sunscreen is very pigmented because of the high concentration of iron oxides in it. Once you rub it in you can see that it blends nicely into the skin and can work for various different skin tones. I really like this one for darker skin types, this is a rare find. This claims to have a 200 boost in antioxidant protection, which becomes extremely beneficial when looking for a sunscreen that has complete protection and does the absolute most for fading and preventing dark spots and melasma. This product by Avène is lightweight, it absorbs quickly, it's non-comedogenic and it is great for all skin types. This also contains niacinamide to protect your skin barrier and reduce redness. This contains basable and [allantoin] to soothe the skin. This has approval from the skin cancer foundation and the eczema foundation and it's safe for infants, children and adults."
