What the gurus are saying

Gurus consistently praise this as a nourishing yet lightweight balm that hydrates without feeling occlusive or greasy. It's highlighted as especially well-suited for mature, dry, and retinoid-sensitive skin, with the ingredient blend supporting barrier repair and anti-aging work. The overall read is solidly positive, though the feedback remains narrowly focused on gentleness and hydration rather than transformative results.

"I've been enjoying this so much, really use it mostly as my nighttime moisturizer because of the nourishing nature. Even though it is rich and nourishing, your skin does not feel like it's being suffocated, like super occlusive, but kind of just gives you what your skin needs, especially for somebody like myself with more mature and dry skin. I use a prescription retinoid and I tend to get more easily irritated, and this is kind of like the perfect nighttime moisturizer to use. It's got awesome ingredients, includes niacinamide, ceramides, and cholesterol that really work together to help repair the skin barrier and also work synergistically with your retinoid in helping to tackle anti-aging concerns. Great for all skin types. I personally think especially at nighttime because I in general like to recommend more nourishing moisturizers at night, but certainly for someone with super dry skin this can also be used in the morning under sunscreen."

"It's a really nice fragrance-free moisturizer that's pretty hydrating and has some nice ingredients in here including retinol as one of them. A little bit of it goes a long way. It's pretty friendly for most skin types. I like to use this one in the morning and it seems to work really nice over vitamin C products. It feels very nice on my skin, not greasy at all. It is on the expensive side, and given it's a little bit pricier, there's actually less product at 40 milliliters, but it's still a pretty nice moisturizer."

"Feels very nice on my skin, not greasy at all which is nice. So the ingredients in here, we've got the Avène spring thermal water which is actually a really interesting ingredient. There's a lot of thermal springs in other countries across the world and they use these in spas, this thermal water, and it's really healing for eczema and psoriasis and skin irritation and issues like that. Then we've got shea butter, niacinamide, bakuchiol in here which is probably the star of the show and I like that they just used bakuchiol instead of the bakuchiol retinol combo because a lot of times people don't like using retinol in their morning routine because it can make your skin more sensitive."

"The thermal water is really interesting and then we've got all those other goodies, soybeans, sunflower seed oil, olive fruit oil, vitamin E. It's really nice product overall. My nose there is a little dry lightly and sunscreen works nice over it too."

"For acne prone skin, it's well halfway friendly. We've got safflower seed oil, alcohol, glycerol, steroids, and soybean oil, and then olive oil, so not terribly friendly but not awful. I've just been enjoying it. It's very nice, very gentle, and I really like the fact that they used the bakuchiol on here as opposed to retinol because then it's friendly for morning or evening. Either way, be sure to use sunscreen over it. This one's pretty nice and worth checking out. I don't feel like I look greasy and I don't feel like I need to set it with powder, which is just perfect for me."
