What the gurus are saying

The gurus who tested it found a nourishing balm that feels comfortable on skin without a greasy finish or occlusive suffocation, making it especially suited to those with mature or dry skin, or anyone using prescription retinoids. The combination of ceramides, niacinamide, and cholesterol works to repair the barrier while bakuchiol synergizes with retinoids on anti-aging without the irritation risk of retinol. Works well as a nighttime moisturizer; those with very dry skin may also layer it in the morning under sunscreen.

"I've been enjoying this so much, really use it mostly as my nighttime moisturizer because of the nourishing nature. Even though it is rich and nourishing, your skin does not feel like it's being suffocated, like super occlusive, but kind of just gives you what your skin needs, especially for somebody like myself with more mature and dry skin. I use a prescription retinoid and I tend to get more easily irritated, and this is kind of like the perfect nighttime moisturizer to use. It's got awesome ingredients, includes niacinamide, ceramides, and cholesterol that really work together to help repair the skin barrier and also work synergistically with your retinoid in helping to tackle anti-aging concerns. Great for all skin types. I personally think especially at nighttime because I in general like to recommend more nourishing moisturizers at night, but certainly for someone with super dry skin this can also be used in the morning under sunscreen."

"Feels very nice on my skin, not greasy at all which is nice. So the ingredients in here, we've got the Avène spring thermal water which is actually a really interesting ingredient. There's a lot of thermal springs in other countries across the world and they use these in spas, this thermal water, and it's really healing for eczema and psoriasis and skin irritation and issues like that. Then we've got shea butter, niacinamide, bakuchiol in here which is probably the star of the show and I like that they just used bakuchiol instead of the bakuchiol retinol combo because a lot of times people don't like using retinol in their morning routine because it can make your skin more sensitive."
