What the gurus are saying

This tinted sunscreen splits the feedback quite clearly: some gurus absolutely love it, while others have experienced real irritation and dryness. The formula may have shifted, so it could genuinely be worth retesting if you had problems with an older version. At $13.99 to $13.69 for three ounces, the price is low enough to make testing it a reasonable choice.

"The Australian Gold tinted is a really good one as well um so thank you for that recommendation I do love that one"

"I would love to love this, but for whatever reason it irritates my skin. I always found this product, or their Tinted Sunscreen, to be very drying. It looks like this one doesn't have the ingredient I always thought was irritating my skin, so maybe that's changed, but the price on these isn't bad, 13.99 to 13.69 for three ounces, which is significantly less expensive than the Neutrogena one."

What the evidence says.

Independent of what the gurus think, this is what the published research supports about the main active ingredients here.

Humectants and emollients

Ingredients like these draw water into the surface layers and slow how fast it leaves. The evidence is for comfort, softness and hydration rather than for changing the structure of the skin.

Vitamin E

Vitamin E is an antioxidant, and it is often in a formula to keep the other ingredients stable rather than as the active itself. It pairs well with vitamin C, though on its own the evidence for visible change is limited.
