What the gurus are saying

This cream earns praise for being hydrating and lightweight at the same time, making it work well layered under or with other actives like vitamin C and peptides. Reviewers love that it's fragrance-free and plays well with acne-prone skin without causing breakouts, though one notes it's not quite as occlusive as some heavier barrier creams, so those needing maximum protection may want to seal it with an oil on particularly dry days.

"This is the Astera Ato Barrier 365 Cream. It's fragrance-free. It's got squalane, ceramides, caruba wax, vitamin E. It's really nice. It's really hydrating. This would be for very, very dry skin. It's like a thick, almost like a balm when you apply it. So there's no scent. This stuff's nice."

"I have the face cream version of this, the Astera Ato Barrier 365 Cream. And honestly, I use that cream almost every day, twice a day right now. It is very rich but lightweight. I use it alongside niacinamide. I will use it with vitamin C, copper peptides. It's my go-to cream right now. I just love the way that it makes my skin look and feel. Great for all skin types. It's also fragrance-free. This is K beauty. I have combination skin. I'm very acne prone and that cream never ever breaks me out. It is amazing and I think it's going to be great for the winter months."
