Luminous Silk Foundation.

"Even the recent reformulation with Armani Luminous Silk, the lighter shades, though they did start to include a little bit more of the olive and ultramarine tones into their foundation, the pigments into their foundations were still quite orange. I went over this area three times and didn't really build up coverage, but I was using a sponge, so if you do want to build up more coverage with this type of foundation, a brush is probably best."

"This is the Armani Luminous Silk Foundation. This is an OG for many people for a reason. It's a beautiful formula. Now if you're someone who's ridiculously oily you probably aren't going to like it. But I will say that it's gorgeous. This is a gorgeous like I would say medium coverage foundation. It is extremely hydrating without being like oily for me at least. As someone who does tend to lean a little bit more oily, I love this foundation for so many reasons. It has like a serum feel and kind of a satiny feel. Like as you blend it out it gives a little bit of this like moussey satin kind of feel. You can build it up a little bit but it's definitely not a full coverage foundation. It's more like somewhere between medium coverage."

"I hated the original Armani Luminous Silk when I reviewed it back in 2016, it was a perfectly average foundation for sixty four dollars, it had lots of skin flakes, looked spotty, settled into the wrinkles on my forehead, felt drying to wear, and looked oilier from a distance. I was hoping the reformulation would be better, but on my skin it settled into wrinkles right away, including places where foundation never usually settles for me, it doesn't look one hundred percent natural and skin like, it's a little uneven and splotchy, it has a strong fragrance, and by five hours in it was already breaking up on the surface and wearing off on my chin and forehead even though it claims twenty four hour wear. By ten hours it wasn't terrible, but there was nothing really right with it either, it got a little shinier and dry and scaly around my nose, and my chin was completely worn off. I didn't like how it looked all day. It's certainly not going to be a holy grail for me, it's more like a solid medium."

"This has been probably our top foundation for so long, so many years. I've used this on everyone because I know exactly what I'm getting with this foundation. I know what it's going to look like on camera, I know how it's going to wear, I know how it's going to interact with most skin types. [...] Even people with more oily skin, I'll put a little bit of primer with it, I'll set it with powder and it still performs beautifully. Don't let the fact that it has luminous in the title deter you if you have more oily skin. I think this is like just one of the best foundations it's ever been formulated and put on the market.
