What the gurus are saying

This gel-cream hybrid delivers an instant glow and packed hydration that people notice right away, with a thick, glossy texture that feels non-greasy despite being heavily glycerin based. The gurus recommend it as a nighttime final step, especially for those with oilier or acne-prone skin who want hydration without a heavy cream feel; using it in the morning may cause peeling when sunscreen goes on top, so save it for night and expect waking to soft, radiant skin.

"Arenia Holy Hop Serum 30, you might think is going to be a fluid. It's not. It's basically like a gel cream, a gel moisturizer. It's really thick. It's really glossy. It's deeply hydrating and limits penetration of stuff that you put on top of it and evaporative water loss. It doesn't feel greasy on the skin likely because it's very glycerin rich. Glycerin is a humectant but in glycerin rich products starts to act more as a barrier to water loss. This is a product that people might be intrigued to pursue because it's got a variety of antioxidants which may help to combat oxidative stress. I think this is a great product to consider using as the final step in your nighttime skincare routine especially if you're someone who has oilier acne prone skin because you might not like the full-on barrier cream feel. You might want the more hydrating glycerin based skin protectant. If you wanted to use it in your morning routine I would worry that because of the thick consistency that you put it on and then when you put your sunscreen on over you might encounter what is so annoying the peeling. For that reason alone I think this is better suited as a nighttime product. The following morning used at night you do wake up with that glowy radiant skin soft hydrated supple."

"It checks all those serum boxes. We have rice extract in here as well. It just gives your skin a real instant glow, an instant refresh to the skin, and your skin feels so packed with hydration. You could feel the difference in your skin almost instantly. It's calming, it's soothing as well. I am loving Arenia more than I thought I would for a natural brand. My skin just loves it."
