"Arazlo and other companies solubilize the azelaic acid by putting it at a higher pH in the salt form so it actually dissolves, which is actually the more effective approach for getting it into the skin. But the biggest complaint about Arazlo should really be that they have to use propylene glycol, which is a common allergen, to solubilize the ingredient."
