Healing Ointment Body Spray.

"The Aquaphor Healing Ointment is a classic in the tube or jar, but now they have it as a spray, which a lot of people don't know about. It's a great hack if you have kids with dry skin and you want to spray a larger surface area instead of dipping your hand in a big jar of Aquaphor and trying to spread it over kids that are just moving all over the place. A nice spray just to cover a large surface area. If you have dry cracked heels, spraying your feet with this spray has been a game changer. This has been a big essential in my household."

"I still love Aquaphor a lot and I want to show you a product that they came up with a few years ago, Aquaphor Healing Ointment Body Spray. This body spray is great so you can just go ahead and spray the bottom of your foot with the Aquaphor Healing Ointment Body Spray. It's just so convenient. You do have to work it in a little or spray it, so you do have to use your hands. It's not totally hands-free but totally something that you could throw into your routine. She leaves this by her nightstand so that she can apply it to some of the dry wrists. Those are great strategies to apply on the heels, very much a dermatology secret that we all talk about and a lot of people don't know about."

"Aquaphor wins when it comes to the body because they have an ointment body spray which I am obsessed with. It is an ointment that you can literally spray on your skin without getting that crazy greasiness of an ointment that you're using on your skin, and it just gets dispersed more evenly. At night, if it's very dry and you're going to wash your hair the next morning, you can put it on your face, or you can maybe spray it on your hands first and then apply it to your face if you don't want to ruin your hair, but you can actually use this to lock in the rest on your face. I will argue that it is actually much more elegant than slugging with just Vaseline. It's great for covering more areas, and it is great for the body as well. I do this after the shower for my body to lock in the hydration. Just make sure a towel is on the floor so you don't slip and slide, because that has happened to me."

"I lock in that smoothness while my skin is nice and damp with this Aquaphor body spray. It is ideal, it is their ointment in a spray form and it works beautifully because it creates a protective barrier that locks in your moisture without making you feel overwhelmed or overburdened by that ointment. It just helps to heal areas that are very sensitive or raw. Just one tip: put a large towel on the floor if you are going to be spraying this because it does have a scatter effect."

"I really just think it's genius that they took an ointment that usually feels so heavy and greasy and put it in a spray applicator to really just make it easier to apply a very thin even layer. If you struggle with super dry skin you might realize that using a regular body moisturizer on a day-to-day basis isn't really enough, so I really like this as like a final coat over whatever body moisturizer you're already using. Because it has this really nice fine misty spray it's easy to cover a large body surface area quickly and reach areas that might be hard to get like your back. This is one of my top recommendations for my patients who have eczema. Oftentimes they need a lot of skin hydration and this is a really nice thing to have in their routine to prevent transepidermal water loss."

"Another petrolatum based product that I absolutely love and I feel like it was genius for Aquaphor to come out with is the Aquaphor Healing Ointment Body Spray. This is basically an ointment spray, and the tricky thing about ointment is that they are really thick and they're not the most desirable greasy texture. But when you refine it into a little sprayed mist like Aquaphor has so expertly done, it's a really nice way to apply something that is very skin protective, that is very nourishing without a sticky mess. I particularly love this product for my patients with eczema or atopic dermatitis who struggle with moisturizing their skin. Sometimes just dipping their hand into cold moisturizer, especially if they're a kid, is super unappealing. So being able to incorporate a really helpful product into a spray application which is a little more fun and playful and honestly just easy is awesome."
