"This is one that I absolutely love, this is from April Skin, they're a Korean brand, and this is the Carotene Clarifying Serum. I love this because it's made for acne prone skin like mine that tends to be more oily and breakout prone, and this not only has beta carotene but it also has niacinamide. And because it's a K Beauty formula it's really gentle. There are some niacinamide formulas that if they're too potent can actually irritate some people's skin, this one does not do that. And this is a fantastic option if you can't use a retinoid or if you just don't want to use one."

"This is a sebum clarifying serum and this works so beautifully. What I love about April Skin is that you can mix and match their serums really well. This is my favorite for blemish prone skin. You can use this day or night and it's literally the most gentle form of a retinoid, like even more gentle than retinol, some of the most gentle things that you can get. It's in a K Beauty formula so it's hydrating and nourishing but still effective. This is another K Beauty favorite that I've used and repurchased for like 3 years now so so good. And if you're looking for a retinoid that doesn't break the bank or break your skin out more, this will be it."

"This is the April Skin Carotene Clearing Solution with beta hydroxy acid, our polyhydroxy acids, zinc at one percent, and niacinamide at five percent. This stuff, she is potent, she is bright, and she is mighty. Yes, this stuff works very well. I like to use it kind of as a spot treatment. You can put it all over, but again this has a bunch of these acids. These acids help to dissolve whatever's going on in pores, and then the niacinamide helps to keep that pore small and shrink it over time."
