What the gurus are saying

Gurus are split on AirPods. One loves the convenience of noise cancellation and transparency mode for daily activities. The other finds them uncomfortable for sleep, citing bulky fit, ear pain, and battery life capping at around 6 hours. The core divide is practical use case: great for casual wear and audio control, problematic for extended wear like sleeping.

"AirPods are definitely not the best thing to wear to sleep because they stick out a lot. They're super uncomfortable and when you wake up in the morning, a lot of times your ears will hurt. Also, the battery life doesn't last that long. So, even if you manage to keep them in your ear for a while, they'll only last 6 hours at maximum. Also, I'm a side sleeper and trying to wear headphones as a side sleeper is damn near next to impossible."

"My AirPods. I literally can't live without these. I absolutely cannot live without my headphones. I love having the option of transparency mode and also the noise cancellation. It's so convenient. It is so nice. I can turn on that noise cancellation if I'm brushing my teeth or doing the dishes and shit's loud around me. If I'm going for a walk, I can turn on transparency mode so I can hear if there's any sketchy people walking around."
