  • No stinging or burning around eyes

What they flagged

  • Too oily for oily skin in warm weather
  • Chemical sunscreen may irritate sensitive skin

What the gurus are saying

No white cast stands out as the signature strength here, with dermatologists calling it one of their all-time favorites for a truly invisible finish. The texture leans heavy and dewy rather than light, which means those who prefer airy sunscreens may want to test it first, but people with dry or dehydrated skin tend to love how it hydrates without feeling greasy or shiny. Water resistance up to 80 minutes, fragrance-free formulation, and built-in niacinamide round out a sunscreen that wears well under makeup and tolerates sensitive areas like the eyes without burning or stinging.

"One of my all-time favorite sunscreens, which I discovered in 2025, comes from Anua, a Korean brand that has a sunscreen formulated for the US market. It doesn't have all the filters you might get in a sunscreen bought from Korea, but this formula is amazing. It's super lightweight, very hydrating, not greasy, and doesn't burn or sting around the eyes. It's SPF 50 and water resistant for 80 minutes. It's one of the best facial sunscreens that has come out in the past couple of years in the US market. As far as the aesthetics and performance, it looks great, it's easy to apply, and it doesn't sting for me at least."

I Used Up 10 Sunscreens — Here’s What I’d Actually Buy Again
"It's a thicker cream, but the spread is very efficient. It doesn't take a lot of effort to spread it on and easy to tolerate around the eyes. No burning, no stinging. Feels just like you're putting moisturizer on. Easy to apply liberally. It's actually water resistant, which I really like, especially for humidity."
Dermatologist Reveals the Best Sunscreens of 2025 You Need to Try
"The Anua ZeroCast SPF 50 is a water-resistant chemical sunscreen with literally no cast. It's easy, breezy to apply. It's very hydrating, but it's not greasy or oily. It doesn't leave a shine on the skin. It withstood the Houston summer humidity for me without running into my eyes blinding me. Great as a facial moisturizer but great as a broadspectrum sunscreen. It does have niacinamide which I love in sunscreens because niacinamide offers a lot good for dark spots, redness, the moisture barrier, warding off glycation, oxidative stress. The studies that we have on niacinamide show you get the most bang for the buck with it twice a day. So if you have it in your sunscreen, that is your morning application. You just need it again in a moisturizer for nighttime and that's your PM one. So you don't need to have a serum that you're putting on twice a day as well. This was a winner for me."

"I am a fan of the Anua Zero Cast sunscreen. It's a chemical sunscreen with as the name implies no white cast. It's very moisturizing. It's not greasy. It's not shiny and it has niacinamide. So your morning dose of niacinamide in your sunscreen. As a reminder, sunscreen is in a moisturizing base. So that too is going to help with reducing water loss, keeping the skin hydrated."
The Truth About These Trending Skincare Must-Haves
"It's a nice hydrating, moisturizing, fragrance-free, chemical sunscreen that's water resistant. It has a very dewy finish. It feels a little heavy on the face. It's got niacinamide and panthenol, but not a whole lot else going on in it for me to comment on. I gladly wear this, but I want you guys to know that it does have a heavier finish to it."

"It's a chemical sunscreen. Anua is a Korean brand, but they made this sunscreen for the US market, so it doesn't have like Tinosurb or UAL A+ or anything like that. It has standard chemical filters that are allowed in US sunscreens. I've been really happy with that because it's moisturizing. It doesn't burn or sting. It has niacinamide and it's water resistant. SPF 50 is a pretty good SPF value. For the Texas sun and the Texas humidity, having that water resistance factor I really liked."
My Top 3 Everyday Sunscreens
"This for me personally is just a great option for the days where I'm going to be maybe going out more and being in the sun for longer than 30 seconds and you'll be generating sweat. I really enjoyed this. It's moisturizing. It's not greasy. This is a pretty thick cream coming out."

"This is a repurchase for me, the Anua Zero Cast. This is a water-resistant SPF 50 chemical sunscreen. It's a chemical sunscreen which that's my preference. I like using chemical sunscreens. It does not burn or sting around the eyes. It's hydrating. It's not greasy. It's water resistant, 80 minutes, which was really perfect, especially in the summer with the humidity because the nice thing about water resistant formulas is that they stay on a little bit better when you're sweating so that they're less likely to seep into the eyes. It's fragrance-free."

"Anua made this sunscreen with a zero white cast claim, and on TikTok they apply a lot on the face and it's still okay. I tried a lot of it out and yeah, no white cast, but the point is sunscreen is oil, so even for me it was too oily and I couldn't even do makeup over it. If you have oily skin in tropical weather I don't think you'll like it, but in Korean winter, if you have dry mature skin, you'll like this, and it's kind of cute and small. It's a chemical sunscreen though, so some people can react if they're allergic or sensitive. I would say it's okay, but I'm not going to repurchase it, because whatever I pick, other sunscreens are like this, so there's no reason to pick this one particularly."

"Anua ZeroCast, super hydrating, super elegant. It's definitely more of a hydrating sunscreen, not like a serum type of sunscreen, but more of a hydrating one. It's got some body to it. And what I like about it is the measuring cap that's right at the top. So you can measure out your sunscreen, get that 1/4 teaspoon for the face and neck. It's a really cool touch."

"I also like the Anua Zero Cast sunscreen. This is a pure chemical sunscreen with US filters, even though it's a Korean brand they formulated this one in the US so it could be available in Ulta. It has a little measuring cup so you can measure out exactly how much you need. I really just like this sunscreen, I think it blends elegantly, it's not too dewy but it's got that nice dewy glow that I like."

"One I really did love and this is a more moisturizing sunscreen. I think it's great for this time of year is from Anua their Zero Cast Moisturizing Finish Sunscreen. This has US chemical filters. I do love the application. I love that this gives a healthy moisturized glowy finish, which is so hard to achieve right now when it's so dry. And I love that they have a built-in kind of measuring cup in their cap, which helps us use the right amount."

Korean Skincare You Need for Fall & Winter!
"This is a great sunscreen for fall winter and one that I'm using a lot right now. Their ZeroCast Moisturizing Finish Sunscreen with an SPF of 50 and a PA of four pluses. This has a beautiful moisturizing texture. It's just not too light. It feels also really hydrating and comforting as well. It's so elegant. In fact, it really reminds me of the super popular Beauty of Chosen Rice and Probiotics. It has the kind of hydrated glow finish that I love so much. This formula has all the US compatible filters. I also appreciate that it's water resistant up to 80 minutes, which means it's got some resistance. It's longer lasting. This was tested and shown to keep the skin hydrated for up to 72 hours, but it was also tested to show that it helps makeup last longer as well. So, great to wear under makeup. In fact, you could use this as a light moisturizer and just replace your moisturizer. This is non-comedogenic, so it won't clog your pores. So, the cap has a little dent. It's shaped specifically to be used as a measure for how much sunscreen you need to apply for your entire face."
