  • Gentle enough for sensitive skin
  • Does not leave skin feeling tight

What they flagged

  • Can over-dry if layered with other cleansers
  • Formulated for oily and combo skin only

What the gurus are saying

Heartleaf creates remarkably dense bubbles that penetrate pores well, earning praise for deep cleansing power. However, reviewers caution that the formula is quite drying and designed exclusively for oily to combination skin: it shouldn't be used as a second cleanser, and those with dry or mature skin should avoid it. Best used at night if oily.

"This is the best one for pores, pour deep cleanser. I love this, gets into all it helps to remove any extra grime and dirt on the skin. Heartleaf powder creates really dense, dense bubbles like the ones you see on my face right now. Dense bubbles are able to foam into your pores. [...] It makes my skin feel really clean. The main ingredient is heartleaf. It's perfect for those with sensitive skin."

"It's written on the instructions that this cleanser is only for oily combo skin, it has a little bite to it, that's the deep cleansing they're appealing to. I don't really feel much itching from it and it doesn't really feel like that deep of a cleanse, but at the same time it actually dried me out too much. A lot of people on TikTok use this after the Anua cleansing oil, using both the oil and the foam together, but that's going to make your skin so dry, don't do that, this isn't meant to be a second cleanser, it's too extreme, it's a low alkaline formula. If you already have it, use it at night if you have oily combo skin, but if you have dry mature skin, stay away from it."

"This is one unique foaming cleanser that does not dry your skin out"

"The entire Heartleaf line is incredible for oily skin. I have a personal relationship with this cleanser. It actually found its way into my shower one day, and the more I used it, the more I loved it, and I completely emptied out this product. Extremely good. I love the cleansing oil, but the cleansing foam is actually an even bigger selling product for Anua than the oil."
