"It's a combo sunscreen, which is great because it contains titanium dioxide and zinc oxide, which are two great mineral filters. And then it's got chemical filters, Avobenzone, UVA/UVB T150, and Tinosurb S, which are all great chemical filters. So this one covers a broad spectrum of rays and filters. It's great, and it's fragrance free and denatured alcohol-free. I highly recommend it if you haven't tried it. It's great and really wonderful. This one is one of my favorites."

"This is one of the OG Shiseido Anessa Perfect UV Sunscreen Skincare Milk, SPF 50 and PA4 pluses. It gives you broad-spectrum UV protection, which is really ideal especially if you have more sun out now. It's an ideal sunscreen that contains hybrid chemical and mineral filter, so it's going to protect your skin, feel and look elegant without leaving a white cast. I don't feel like it's ever irritated my skin, but certainly if you have sensitive skin, give it a try first before you put it all over. It's great especially now in the summer time where the weather's hotter and we're spending more time outside, so it offers better protection. I believe it is also water resistant too. Shiseido makes really wonderful skincare products and their sunscreens are amazing and really one of the most popular ones in Japan as well. The sunscreen contains a hybrid of chemical filters along with zinc oxide, which is the mineral-based filter, marine collagen and green tea extract that helps to hydrate and add some additional antioxidant protection, hyaluronic acid and water-soluble collagen that really helps to act as a humectant and temporally hydrate the skin and improve skin hydration. All around, really lightweight sunscreen that is just perfect for the warmer months."

"This is a hybrid sunscreen, pairing organic and inorganic filters, so there is some white cast, but it applies very smoothly, feels soft and even to the touch, and gives a matte finish rather than the dewy finish I expected. I was able to take it close up to my eyes without stinging. While applying it I noticed a lightening or tone up effect on my already pale skin, which I'm personally not a fan of, though I know some people actively look for that effect; if you have a deeper skin tone you might find it a deal breaker. Another issue I had was pilling, which happened even with my regular routine, though patting it in rather than rubbing helped avoid it and also slightly reduced the tone up effect. The filters used, in combination, offer broad protection against UVA and UVB, though I personally prefer formulas without zinc oxide or titanium dioxide. I was impressed by the initial smooth application and especially the finish, but I found it way too drying on my combination skin in winter, and it had a tendency to pill on me when layered. As it offers a good selection of filters and claims to be sweat and water resistant, it might be a great option for the warmer months, but you have to be aware of its tone up effect, which made my already pale skin look even lighter and might be problematic for those with a deeper skin tone."

"The latest iteration of this sunscreen, it's one of the most popular Japanese sunscreens. I tried it out several years ago and was like, well, it does have fragrance in it which is not my preference, but I have to say I gave it another try and I get why people like it so much. The fragrance is like this sort of fruity floral, it doesn't linger which I appreciate. It has a really nice finish to it. It's a hybrid sunscreen so it has zinc, it has titanium dioxide, but it also has octinoxate, octisalate, avobenzone, avobenzone, homosalate, and oxybenzone. The cast to this is significantly less than the other hybrid sunscreen, Sun Cut. This one the cast is significantly less and it goes on really easily, it's really comfortable. I was reading this is really interesting, it has this Auto Repair technology. What this is, is great in a humid climate. It allegedly activates in high humidity above 78% of humidity or temperatures above 28 degrees Celsius, and it kind of has some sort of technology that activates to improve the durability of the product on the skin so it doesn't melt off. It claims to be water and sweat resistant."

"I've been using the most recent upgraded reformulation of my all-time favorite Anessa Perfect UV Sunscreen Skincare Milk. This is probably the best upgrade yet. This now has better protection, is even more resistant to elements, sand, water, everything. The texture is even lighter, it's smoother, it's actually just plain old silky and weightless and it is great under makeup. For those with darker skin tones who may have experienced a cast using the previous versions of this, this has also become more blendable. This dries down very naturally, has a bit of that blurring effect, leaves the skin feeling super smooth, wears beautifully under makeup. The packaging now is more environmentally friendly, the bottles and caps are made of plant-based bioplastics."

"I think it has fragrance in it even though they told me at the store that it didn't. I'm pretty sure it does because I can smell it throughout the day. I found that it started to become more mattifying, so I don't know if it has something in it that's absorbing oils throughout the day. It went from dewy to matte pretty quickly, and I think that's that grit that we're feeling in it. I didn't love it despite all the billboards, to be honest. It has a weird balance of like grit, greasy, and now you're telling me it's going to mattify over time. It's just a weird combination. For someone with oily skin I don't think this is going to be a win."
