"AmLactin Bright & Smooth Serum is a pretty nice product, a drugstore serum for exfoliating that is a pretty good value overall. You can use it on the face, on the body. It's well formulated. It kind of does what it's intended to do. [...] That being said, for me personally, I would not actually repurchase [...] this. It's a serum, and while some serums can be fine as standalone moisturizers, I actually found that this when you put it on, it dries down. And if you just leave it at that, [...] the skin kind of feels tight and dry. I felt like I definitely needed moisturizer on over it if I was using it at night. If I'm using it during the day, however, sunscreen on over it was enough because sunscreen is a moisturizer. [...] For me personally, I might just prefer to use their lotions at night time."

"They came out with a brightening serum, which I think is really cool. This has the AHA blend, niacinamide, and an ethylated vitamin C derivative. I've been doing this two to three times in the first couple of weeks I got this. I'm actually really excited because traditionally AmLactin is not something I recommend for the face. I always say it's too strong, can make you photosensitive, but they made a very gentle meant for the face formulation with vitamin C. Very lightweight and makes your skin so smooth afterwards. No fragrance, fast absorbing, and not irritating so far. Do this in the morning and I only do about three times a week. I treat it like a leave-on exfoliant."

"Another two-in-one product to consider would be AmLactin Smooth and Bright Serum. This has vitamin C plus AHAs to exfoliate. Now, I'm not a big fan of having exfoliants, leave-on exfoliants on your face every day. This one is meant for daily use. I've only been using it three times a week, but you have niacinamide in this as well. So really a nice product to be efficient and then apply your sunscreen over it. Typically for normal AmLactin products, they say it's too strong for the face, but AmLactin has formulated this for the face and body to help brighten and help just polish the skin and remove old dead skin cells that are sitting at the surface."
