What the gurus are saying

Gurus agree the formula itself is effective and gentle, particularly suited to normal, dry, and sensitive skin types. The consistent complaint is strong fragrance that persists even after reformulation, which some find intolerable despite appreciating the ingredient work. One reviewer finds it worthwhile at alternate-night or reduced-frequency use to justify the price.

"I did not like it primarily because of the strong fragrance. The brand has reformulated it so I got the new variant fragrance, so I would still say stay away from Amino because fragrance is strong. While the formula is gentle, while the formula is good, because of the strong fragrance, unfortunately, I have to say stay away."

"I reviewed this back in 23 or 24 and I told you then that I couldn't use it consistently because the rose fragrance was super strong, and even though I'm a person who loves fragrance in skincare, my nose couldn't tolerate it. I saw on Nykaa some time last year that the packaging had changed, so I thought there was a reformulation. I contacted the team and asked what happened, and they actually told me they had reformulated it and reduced the fragrance. Fragrance was reduced in this one too, and they added Ecotin. The formula is genuinely very good. I do believe what they did in the reformulation is actually really, really nice. They added Ecotin in it. The problem is that it's still too strong for my nose, but the formula is genuinely very good. If your skin is normal to dry, on the drier side, is sensitive, this is a good alternative from an Indian brand."

"The copper peptide serum by Amino is really good. It's slightly on the expensive side, but you can use this on alternate nights and try to save on the amount that you use so that this serum will last longer for you. This contains copper peptides which are humectants that have been moisturizing the skin, and also peptides send signals to the fibroblast cells to make more collagen. So if you use it for about 6 to 8 weeks you will notice an improvement in fine lines and also in open pores and overall skin quality. You can use it sparingly about three to four times in a week and even that is enough in order to see results."
