"This is the Allies of Skin Retinol and Peptides Night Repair Cream. If you're someone that doesn't tolerate exfoliating acids that well, this is like the non-acid version. This has four peptides, 10 antioxidants, you've got brightening ingredients and retinol. It's retinol and a blend of peptides, hydrators, antioxidants and everything, same principle of a whole skincare routine in one. It's just a great all-rounder, great if you're looking to streamline. I like to use the one with the exfoliating acid in maybe twice a week, then on the days I don't use it I would go in with this. You can also mix and match that buy one get one free so you can buy both of these."

You've got your peptides, fantastic. So, this replaces a peptide serum. You've got antioxidants, so it represents an antioxidant serum. You've got your brightening ingredients, and you've got an encapsulated form of retinol, meaning super gentle, but still packs a punch and really is like a 4-in-one when it comes to your skincare routine. This isn't the cheapest product out there, but I like to see it as that 4-in-one. Meaning you're getting a peptide, an antioxidant, a brightening, and a retinoid all in one, which is why I can kind of justify the higher price point because this just makes my skincare routine so simple. One product has four purposes."

"It's very nourishing and it's yellow in color. So when I put this on my skin, I do have a little bit of a yellow tinge to my skin. But by the next morning though, it just rinses right off. So this is a nighttime product. You only want to use this at night time. And you can use it every single night. Something like this though could still be a little drying and irritating for some. But there's also peptides in here, ceramides, omegas, so great humectants, great anti-aging ingredients to help stimulate collagen and of course firm the skin. There's also amino acids and antioxidants in here. So this is jam-packed with a lot of great ingredients to really improve the overall complexion of our skin."

"This is one retinaldehyde product that really does perform. I have mentioned The Ordinary one in the past many times. I still like that one, but I really like the additional ingredients in here. Honestly, I do find that the Allies of Skin brand has a lot of unique formulations that are just jam-packed with several active ingredients, a lot of ingredients that can actually target multiple skin concerns. And that's why I really like this brand because not only are you getting the retinaldehyde, but you're getting the peptides and you're getting a lot of other additional things that our skin needs and that our skin could benefit from. There is no fragrance with this. Great for all skin types. I generally apply one to two pumps of this. I generally do two pumps because I do bring this down my neck as well. I've never had an issue with dryness or irritation, but that's probably because I've been a retinoid user for over 6 years. If you're a beginner or you just have sensitive skin, it's possible that you might experience some irritation and dryness. So, start slow."

"I was using this all summer. [...] I wanted to start with the lower strength. And now that I know I'm fine with it, honestly, I truly never saw irritation or dryness. I [...] generally use prescription tretinoin but sometimes I do like to use retinaldehyde on nights that I feel like taking a break from tretinoin because tretinoin is retinoic acid which is stronger than this and that one really can cause irritation and dryness. So if you can't get your hands on tretinoin then this is the next best thing because retinaldehyde is one step down from tretinoin but this is one step up from retinol. "It spreads nice. It's not greasy. It's not sticky, but it feels really moisturizing on the skin once it's all absorbed in. And also this will give a little bit of a glow to your skin as well. No fragrance whatsoever. Great for all skin types really, but if you do have sensitive skin, start slow and gradually increase from there. But this really is a lovely one for the neck and the chest, but especially for your face as well."
