It's formulated with these encapsulated ceramides, those tiny little beads that you can kind of see pop and sink into the skin and really help restore your skin barrier. This is my go-to when my skin is just misbehaving or maybe I've gotten a bit too confident with the treatment. They say it's clinically proven to give up to 120 hours of hydration, which is kind of crazy but believable because the ceramides are literally what your barrier is made of. And I've experienced it. I would agree with them. You've got those ceramides again, fatty acids in here to mimic your skin's natural lipids, helping to prevent water loss, which again keeps that all in. It's fragrance-free if that's your thing. Barrier repairing and suitable, I would say, for all skin types, every skin type and condition."

It's just a stacked ingredient list, really really good. If you're kind of newer to the rich moisturizer experience or you're looking for a good first product to test out on your eczema, I would say this is a great one to test out. Really really solid formula that just blew me away."

"This is generally the cream that I like to use at nighttime paired up with tretinoin or other actives because it's very rich, repairing, and moisturizing on the skin, but it's not overly heavy, and it doesn't leave a greasy, sticky finish either to the skin. It actually really is beautiful. This is K-beauty if you're not familiar with the Aestura brand. I'm just going to apply the smallest amount of product, and the reason being is because I've already applied those serums prior to the tretinoin. This is fragrance-free. It's great for all skin types and I just really love this with actives. "This is K-beauty and I really love this one a lot. It's great for dry to sensitive skin, but honestly, any skin type could use this. What I really like [...] is the triple lipid beads inside -- it's a complex that has ceramides, cholesterol, and all of the fatty acids that help to nourish and repair the skin. There's also a patented barrier-boosting ceramide blend that actually helps to fill in the gaps of sensitive, dry skin, filling in all those gaps that are lacking hydration and moisture, and it just gives that overall moisture and nourishment to the skin while plumping it at the same time. There are other ingredients like niacinamide, betaine, and glycerin, and so many others to nourish and repair the skin barrier. This one is great for the morning; it sits great with sunscreen and makeup, no peeling, your skin looks so healthy and you get this glow. This is one cream I've been using quite a bit this winter, especially in my evening routine. "The Aestura Atobarrier 365 Cream is a product that really put Aestura on the map and it did unfortunately go through a reformulation in about 2025 and it did significantly change. For me personally, it's not my favorite. The new formula is different, but it is still focused on strengthening up the skin barrier for sensitive or irritated skin. They are using some ceramide content here with lab-made ceramides, so they are not like super recognizable on the ingredients list. Ceramide content is fairly high on the ingredients list and then we also have some ceramide NP content in here. They are using some niacinamide which is a barrier strengthening ingredient. Dimethicone adds a kiss of occlusive to help fight dehydration. The texture here has changed a little bit. It used to be a very traditional medium-weight moisturizer suitable for combo skin that's maybe leaning a little bit more dry. They have lightened up the texture a little bit, added a little bit more of what feels like a wet or humectant, watery kind of content to this cream. It's still kind of medium weight. There is an emollency here, but it does feel more refreshing on the skin and less creamy on the skin."

"The changes here with the Atobarrier cream were pretty significant and it actually made it from one of my favorite moisturizers, you know I named it one of the best of the year, right, one of my favorite moisturizers to something that's just not quite right anymore for my skin. The texture here is really interesting because if you just swipe it, not rub but just swipe it really quickly onto your skin, you're going to see all these little white flexs or flakes. If you are concerned about moisturization and really occlusive types of creams to protect your skin through a failing skin barrier, I wouldn't recommend this one. I do think this is a good formula and it will help your skin barrier, but it's a much lighter expression of a barrier cream. I would recommend this for oily folks, combo skin that's leaning more on the oily side, or balanced skin types that like something lighter, dewier, not super heavy, not really oil-based."

"This is one of my favorite moisturizers because it hits all those different checkpoints for me, especially for combination leaning dry to dry skin. It is focused on barrier care, so something where niacinamide might creep into the formula to fortify your barrier. They've done it without niacinamide. They're actually using biomimetic ceramides, which is a fancy way of saying lamellar ceramides. The biomimetic ceramide doesn't have ceramide in the name, and so it's easy to miss on the ingredients list if you're specifically looking for the word ceramide, but its benefits are actually incredibly similar to Ceramide NP. They've used both ingredients here. They're also using cholesterol and fatty acids, and they're really focusing on getting your skin moisturized, getting your barrier strong, and helping with a little bit of occlusivity to help fight dehydration. I love the texture of this. It is a pretty traditional cream texture, but it's not that type of texture that's really buttery silky. It's more of a plain cream type of texture. I love the way it absorbs into the skin."

"I do have to mention the Aestura Atobarrier 365 Cream. This is something I named as a January favorite in 2023. I started using it in December of 2022, but I wasn't quite ready to name it the best of the year because I just hadn't been using it quite long enough. But I have to mention it - this cream is so good. It's barrier supportive. It's got ceramides in it, cholesterol. It's really all about supporting a healthy skin barrier. It has an approach for sensitive skin. It's not including a lot of plant extracts. It doesn't have fragrance or essential oils. It really is a gentle formulation that's really just meant to strengthen your skin barrier. But it's got that beautiful texture. It is the type of moisturizer I would say moisturizes inside of your skin, not on top of your skin. And it actually has this nice, almost neutral finish. It's not mattifying, but it's definitely not shiny at the top. Once I put this on, I just like how it seals everything in. It smooths out my skin in a way that is so nice. Just enough occlusivity to fight dehydration, but not so much that my skin feels like it's suffocating and sealed off, and it's not bordering on too rich."

"This cream immediately started to remind me of the Aestura Atobarrier 365 moisturizer which I recently revisited. They reformulated it and it changed quite drastically. It was a cream that had more of that medium density texture, a very traditional cream texture, and they actually changed it to something kind of like a cream gel wet kind of feel to it. And then as it's absorbing it kind of creates that [occlusivity] on the skin but they did it in a way that actually did feel a little like too tacky and sticky for me. They did it in a way that didn't feel like it was settling fully into my skin. Like I was not a big fan of that reformulation."

So even in the morning, if you have dry skin, especially as we transition to fall and winter, I think this would be an amazing moisturizer to better support your skin so your dry skin doesn't feel really tight and dry immediately afterward. "It's really hydrating, lightweight but very supportive of your skin barrier and really ideal for those that have sensitive and dry skin, to use when their skin barrier needs a little help, or to even just use regularly as a moisturizer. This year I've done a ton of traveling and my skin always gets so stressed with that, and this moisturizer has really been a holy grail in my routine just to keep my skin barrier healthy. I love the fact that the texture is really elegant. It's nourishing but lightweight and fast absorbing. It is not heavy, not sticky, not greasy, and really makes a wonderful moisturizer morning and night. And that is why it has been my go-to moisturizer of 2024. Now essentially what it has is these lipid capsules that house ceramides and lipids in there, and these capsules break down as you rub in the product on your face and really help to deliver effectively the lipids to help restore your skin barrier. Ingredient-wise, it contains ceramides and cholesterol, fatty acids, as well as panthenol. All wonderful ingredients that your skin needs to help repair itself and to better support your skin barrier. So if you are like me, who gets sensitive skin frequently, whether it's due to stress, or that time of the month, or you just have sensitive skin at baseline, or rosacea-prone skin, or need something occasionally when your skin freaks out, this would make a wonderful moisturizer. In fact, it is a wonderful one to just use daily as your go-to moisturizer for the winter, especially if you have eczema-prone and dry skin."

"Ingredient wise, aside from the lipids we mentioned, it contains ceramides, glycerin, cholesterol, fatty acid complex, like I said really a good mix or ratio of these ingredients that really is optimized at repairing and replenishing the skin barrier. "This is rich and nourishing, absorbs so quickly and lightweight. I literally use it morning and night no problem, doesn't cause any heaviness in the morning, doesn't peel under my sunscreen. It is just so lovely and it contains these lipid capsules that breaks down as you massage onto your skin that contains ceramides and lipids as well as panthenol and squalane that really helps to nourish your skin, helps to support your skin barrier. "This is a great eye cream as well, also really good on the neck. Neck skin is delicate, and if you do have atopic dermatitis, neck flareups of eczema are not uncommon, so this is a great way to moisturize the neck as well. I [...] have really enjoyed this moisturizer and I think it is very good. I really like it a lot and I see no reason to say avoid this by all means. It's close to $40 depending on where you buy it from for 3 oz, I think that's pretty expensive. "I reviewed the Aestura Atobarrier 365 Cream and let me tell you, this moisturizer, never have I had so much worry and concern over reviewing a moisturizer. I got confused about what the ingredients were. I opened it on camera when I was unboxing it and read the ingredients from the box directly, and then I got rid of the box. I was like I'll just look up the ingredients to double check them once I start preparing to review it. When I looked up the ingredients online, I'm like oh cool, there's no niacinamide in this, my audience is going to love that. But had I not checked this, I would have put out a video with completely wrong information in it."

"This Estra cream is the only one that survived from last year's set two and three into this year's set three, it was Olive Young's number one last year and is still very popular, so I wanted to recommend something new alongside it too. This one is for dry skin. My friend, a nail instructor in her forties with very thin dry skin, was using La Roche-Posay Cicaplast B5 as her daily moisturizer but it turned out that was not working for her, she switched to this and said it worked better than B5. The texture is not too heavy and it absorbs pretty well. It has ceramide, cholesterol and fatty acid which your skin needs. For combo oily skin you only need a little amount around the dry zone, and it works well there too."

"This is a super high ranking, almost number one moisturizer during the winter time. The main ingredients are ceramide, cholesterol and fatty acid, which are the core components of your skin barrier, they come in capsules that melt down when you massage it in. Compared to the other products this one is a lot more of a daily moisturizer, but it still feels a bit oily for oily skin, so except for oily and acne prone skin, I recommend it for the daily moisturizer to also keep your skin barrier."

"Aestura is number one here in Korea and number one on Amazon too, everybody knows it if you're even a little into K-beauty. It's a light gel cream that stretches, though the lid is so big it gets messy as soon as you open it. If you have dry, mature skin, in winter just pass, it doesn't work at all for you. If you have oily or combo skin you have to be able to withstand a sticky formulation, you'll want something fresher. It has small grains in it that melt in quickly when you apply it, just make sure to press it in gently or the grains can remain. It's great to apply before makeup or at night and works well for most people, I've used it for a long time."

"For the face, this one feels a lot better, softer, and spreads well. I tried using it half and half with another cream and this one was a little more moisturizing. I have used it for more than three years, I test so many different products and I feel this one is really effective. It has become so popular, Estra has many different lines and products, but this is the number one repurchase product, definitely worth the hype. If your skin stinks no matter what you do, if it feels like it is breaking out too much, if your skin barrier is damaged, this is the one you should try. It has a little oil in it and an ingredient that helps reconstruct your skin barrier, it contains ceramide, cholesterol, and squalane. You can also try it at night in winter, just do not tap it on too much since it is very thick, make sure to spread it and let it absorb. A few reviews say their pores get a little bumpy after using it, but I do not think that is the product's fault, you can also put it on your neck for a massage since it feels so soft and it is definitely moisturizing well."

"This is from Aestura, and it's a 365 and I recently got this from Stylevana and it is so good. It is supremely hydrating on the skin. It's barrier supportive, this feels like butter in a creamy soup, and this is literally meant to both moisturize and to protect the skin. It does kind of leave a little bit of a film on the skin, so if you don't like that it might not be for you, but it's not an oily film. It's more of like a dry touch film that supremely hydrates. I recently found this but I have been in love with it, and I have a feeling that this is going to be one of my staples this winter."
