"This has ceramides, lipids, fatty acids and cholesterol, everything she says the skin needs on an everyday basis. It's great for dry, dehydrated skin, but even with her oily, combination, acne-prone skin it's still great to use, just maybe not every day, more when skin feels tighter, more compromised, or dry and flaky from an active ingredient. She's been using it lately, though come humid summer she probably won't use it as often since she gets oilier and more acne-prone then. At nighttime, especially when using tretinoin, or after a day in the sun or wearing a lot of sunscreen, it's great to refresh the skin and bring in hydration and repair ingredients like lipids and cholesterol. It's not necessary to have in a routine but it really is good to have, and once you feel what it does for your skin you won't want to remove it, gravitating to it a few times a week. It's a cream mist that goes on nice and fine, which she pats into the skin after spraying, and it can be layered with a facial mist or toner and the rest of a routine, or used in place of a hydrating toner before serums."

"The Aestura Atobarrier 365 Cream Mist was pretty dang close to that original formula, quite honestly. I really did enjoy this product. Ingredients-wise, we do have some ceramide content in here, and ceramides are really the ingredient that is going to help with your skin barrier because your skin barrier is made up of about 50% ceramides naturally. When you add ceramides into your skincare routine topically, they can be very beneficial for helping to keep that skin barrier strong or to repair and strengthen it if it's weak or damaged. They are very very effective in skincare products. We do have some ceramide content in here. It actually goes under an INCI list name that is a little bit long, but the trade name is ceramide PC102, and this is actually a lab-made ceramide and they are just as good as natural ceramides. They can sometimes be easier to formulate with, and that's why some brands will choose to use this."
