What the gurus are saying

Gurus consistently praise the formula as lightweight, beautiful, and genuinely long-wearing without breaking down or feeling heavy on the skin. The satin finish and buildable coverage appeal across different skin types, including combination and dry skin. The doe foot applicator works for casual use but can feel cumbersome for professionals; most suggest dispensing onto the back of the hand or using a brush or sponge. The shade range, particularly olive options, earns specific kudos.

"This is the About Face Performer Foundation in the shade L2. The yellow kind of cancels out a little bit of that redness, too. You can see that gorgeous kind of glowy product peeking through underneath. It's going to lean a bit more glowy with a more satin finish foundation."

"I love this foundation. This is such a go-to. I know that it will always work for me and it really does absolutely last. The nice thing about this is because it's slightly more of a medium coverage foundation you have the option to build it up but it shears out really nicely. So if you're someone who just doesn't like a full coverage foundation but you still want the performance of a more full coverage foundation and you want that beautiful satin finish, this is hands down one of my absolute top."

I swatched ALL my foundations to find the most olive shades
"This foundation formula is amazing. I'm obsessed. Since I tried the olive shade, it's all I've been using. The foundation formula is so beautiful, it's really satiny. It's called the Performer so it's meant to be long wear, and I haven't had any problems with oil breaking through or anything like that. The wearability has been fantastic. I would highly recommend it. One thing I'll say about the doe foot applicator: I usually just put it out on the back of my hand for sanitary reasons, but for regular use I would suggest putting it on the back of your hand and picking it up with a sponge or brush. If you're a professional makeup artist the doe foot can be kind of annoying, but for regular old use that works well."

"The About Face Performer Foundation is the first one that pops into my head for medium full coverage foundation for combination skin. I love this formula so much. It's really lightweight but it definitely gives you that coverage. I have combination skin because I'm always dehydrating my skin so I end up with dryness in certain areas, but I'm also congestion prone. I love this formula. I just think it's so beautiful. It wears beautifully and it doesn't feel heavy on the skin. I don't find this drying at all, and I live in a dry climate. The color is fantastic for olive."
