What they liked

  • Lightweight, non-comedogenic formula
  • Soothes reactive and acne-prone skin

What they flagged

  • Capsules require firm pressure to burst open

What the gurus are saying

The capsules require pressure to break, which doesn't suit extremely fragile skin. Gurus praise the formula for soothing acne-prone and reactive complexions through heartleaf and Centella, with niacinamide and turmeric helping brighten. It's ideal for anyone whose reactive skin is resilient enough to handle the burst mechanism.

"This serum has a ton of antioxidants as well as niacinamide and turmeric which will both work to brighten any dark spots or hyperpigmentation that you might have as well as houttuynia cordata extract, micacidic, beta glucan which are all just incredible ingredients for making sure that your moisture barrier is protected any redness and irritation is calmed down and to protect your skin from free radical damage. But one of the main reasons I love this one is that it's super super lightweight and does not leave your skin really greasy looking or feel heavy. I feel like that's so important when it comes to a daytime routine because there are so many serums that I try to use for the daytime and then I walk out the door 30 minutes later boom oil fields grease factory. But I've never had to worry about that with this one. It's always super lightweight. Does a great job of maintaining my skin to look healthy but not overly greasy. And it's a perfect way to protect your skin throughout the day."

"I don't know about this, I'm feeling more mixed than I thought I would. The capsules are not breaking open as easily as I thought they would, it's a beautiful formula, but I don't like to be rough on my skin and I have to be more rough to get them open. I absolutely love the ingredients here, this is a lot of my personal favorites, and as long as I can get these beads to burst open on my skin it does seem like this should work out for me. I really like this brand overall, but the only product where I'm a little worried about how I'll feel long term is actually this one."

"This one is great. I think it's suitable for anyone that has reactive skin, reactive and acne-prone skin, or anyone struggling with some skin barrier dysfunction or looking for a product to complement their pre-existing acne treatment to help calm and reduce irritation without contributing to more breakdown of your skin barrier. I feel like this product is really that product. Ingredient-wise, it combines heartleaf that helps reduce inflammation, redness, and acne issues along with Centella that helps strengthen the skin barrier, as well as a beep capsule technology that enhances delivery, making the penetration more effective but also more stable and less irritating. This is a lightweight serum that is non-comedogenic. It helps balance oil production while soothing stressed skin. So I really highly recommend this for those that are acne-prone, oily-prone, sensitive, and reactive at the same time."

"This has become one of my more used favorite serums of recent times. It's for those with acne breakouts, those who need to calm irritation and calm redness, and in general soothe their skin. For me that's a daily occurrence, so this is a daily serum for me. The first thing that attracted me to this serum is because it has these little capsules with potent ingredients that are encapsulated in an oil, so there's no kind of shell that you have to pop on your skin, which means you have better preserved active ingredients that work at their full potential once it goes on your skin. The ingredients in the capsules are Centella asiatica, but the rest of the ingredient list is kind of crazy. It's heartleaf, panthenol, allantoin, all in this soothing, light jelly hydrating serum. We've also got niacinamide and panthenol in here, all working together to help with breakouts, congestion, and inflamed skin in this amazing lightweight one-and-one kind of serum."
