"I do love the original Good Genes lactic acid by Sunday Riley. Lactic acid is particularly good if you've got a drier skin that needs resurfacing. I love it if you've got an older drier skin that's a perfect thing to resurface your skin."

"I absolutely love Rhode. I thought it's very interesting that a young person with relatively problem-free skin decided just to do barrier function of peptide products and I really love it. The Peptide Glazing Fluid I'm using most days now although I do love to layer on my peptides in the summer. I love the packaging, I love the idea that their barrier repair and their peptide base, and I just think she deserves to go from strength to strength."
"I use the 100% squalane to shave my legs with, shave under my arms with. I'm happy for the kids to use it. Biossance created hempsqualane, which is a squalane molecule which they derive from corn and then they basically feed the corn to the bacteria, the bacteria produce the squalane and then it's half the size so it goes into the skin more, hydrating, amazing."

"This is Medik8 liquid peptides and I would happily put that all over my face before putting on a retinol. You can easily use peptides which are signaling ingredients and they basically signal for the skin to repair itself as you sleep. You can do wear them during the day as well. I just want something to give my skin slip to put the retinol or retinaldehyde over the top."

"This is the brand new La Roche-Posay Cicaplast B5 Serum and I love it. I know it's had mixed reviews actually but I really love it. It's a beautiful milky serum, very similar in texture to one of my other favorite ones. I would put this all over, like drench my skin in it, including my eyes, neck, chest, everything in preparation for a retinol or a retinaldehyde."

SPRING SKIN - FIVE FAVOURITES
"It's just an absolute gold standard. I've just come back from the American Academy of Dermatology, most dermatologists love it, I love it. But I don't really like the texture of it, it's quite a rich cream. I love a serum though, and when they create it as a serum version, it was love at first sight. I have flown with it, I've used it since I've got back. I'm using it right up and around my eyes. It sits beautifully under makeup. It's flawless. It might just be my favorite hydrating serum of all time."

"Step two is non-negotiable for me: it has to be a vitamin C, and you'll not be surprised to know that I use the gold standard, which is SkinCeuticals C E Ferulic. I know, I know, it's expensive. This is 15% L-ascorbic acid with ferulic acid and vitamin E. A lot of people don't like the smell; I've just got over it. I've used it since it was launched, it's probably 12 years now. I swear it's one of the reasons my pigmentation and my sun damage isn't as bad as it is, but I get that it's expensive. It's a pure L-ascorbic acid, so it's the active form of vitamin C, meaning your skin doesn't have to work hard to access what it needs. It gives you an antioxidant boost, boosts collagen production, protects your skin from pollution, and boosts the effect of your SPF. It's just clinically proven. Dr. Sheldon Pinnell was the person who started SkinCeuticals and did all the research on topical vitamin C and skin, and it's a gold standard for that reason."

"The Allies of Skin vitamin C, slightly more expensive but I love it. It's a blend of L-ascorbic acid and other forms of vitamin C that have to be converted on the skin by your skin's enzymes naturally, so it takes slightly longer to deliver but actually makes it better for sensitive skin if skin's irritated by vitamin C."

"The Naturium Multi-Peptide Moisturizer is a beautiful texture. Everything I've put on my face so far has been watery super lightweight, so this I go in with and it's very hydrating, instantly plumps fine lines. It's quite cooling on the skin. For a lot of people that wouldn't be enough hydration, but I'm going to get a lot more hydration from my SPF. I love that."

"It's a pretty light cream, a little goes a long way. I would say it is lighter than C plus B5, also unfragranced and super hydrating. This is their hero product, SkinFix Barrier+, and it's gorgeous. If you're on a retinoid journey and you want something to buffer it out, this is perfect. I love the fact that it's in a pump action dosed little pot. Really nice range, I think well worth checking out."

"This vitamin C is definitely worth testing. It's stabilized, non-reactive. Vitamin C stuff can scare me, but this one did not. It's not the way you'd expect from vitamin C products, and it's versatile enough that you could use it all day and night because it's not quite as heavy."

Now they've gotten cute and there's like ultimate repair and happy repair, but Advanced Repair with urea is the one to look for. I have the driest skin on God's Great Earth and this is like the triumphant of the Gods. This one I think is actually urea and glycerin because hello, this is brilliant. "Being someone with eczema, I have to moisturize twice a day otherwise my skin will go wild. I love La Roche-Posay Lipikar really, my like one of my favorite moisturizers, and I'll use it top to toe. I'll do that in the morning after I have a shower and I'll do it in the evening as well. I'll usually have a very short quick shower and then I'll apply it on slightly damp skin. You want to get them on and always go downwards, don't do lots of rubbing up and down because you might trap the hairs on your body and get little bumps everywhere throughout the day."

"The Ordinary also have a new moisturizer and I absolutely love the NMF. It's one of my go-to budget moisturizers, it's really lovely, super lightweight, goes in really easily, sinks into your skin in seconds, makes a great makeup base. There is now a Natural Moisturizing Factors and Beta Glucan, and beta glucan is a calming, soothing ingredient. In comparison to the original one, and I've been testing this for a few days, it is surprisingly a gel, and that will really shock you if you're used to the normal NMF. So it is super hydrating, goes on, slips over your skin beautifully, and I think is absolutely unique in texture. It's a jelly-like texture that is just so beautiful. This will suit summer skins so well. It's particularly suited to dehydrated, sensitive skin that don't necessarily want a heavy, oily occlusive moisturizer. It's just Heavenly. It will be the most perfect thing to take on holiday. It also sits under makeup, which is really rare for a gel. It doesn't pill, and I just think it's beautiful."

"I genuinely do love this moisturizer. It's Mineral 89, which is like their hero serum but in the cream form, so it goes on as a moisturizer. It's got niacinamide in it, a bit of squalene, lots of hydration. It's perfect for winter months or if you're just having a bit of a rough time through the winter where you just need a moisturizer, and maybe your sunscreen isn't moisturizing you enough. What I love about this moisturizer is you can use it morning and night, so you can sandwich it with a retinol."

I love this for summer because it's runnier than traditional waxy balm cleansers, which means it's lighter weight, which means it's much nicer when it's humid. Retinoids8 reviews
"This is 0.2% retinal Emulsion and it's a retinoid and in my opinion it's the strongest and the best value for money retinoid that's currently available. Retinal is the next metabolic step on from retinol. Traditionally in skincare we had retinol esters, which your body then has to convert from a retinol ester to a retinol to a retinal to the active form of vitamin A in your skin called trans retinoic acid. Retinol esters are still available but retinol was a beauty buzz word probably about two or three years ago and then as you got used to working through retinol esters to retinol you wanted more, and that's where retinal comes in."

"It's a perfectly formulated product in slightly imperfect packaging so you do need to squeeze it down to get the last of it out. Crystal Retinal 20 is the equivalent of a two percent retinaldehyde so we're talking basically 10 times the strength of that, 20 times the strength of that. You need to work up slowly, don't start on the 10 or the 20 like me because I've been using retinals and retinols for years work your way up go three six eight and then up basically."

It does hydrate the surface of the skin, it's loaded with actives, but it's also got a silicon masking effect. It doesn't peel under makeup. It's beautifully under makeup. I'm someone who in the course of the day on a dry day working indoors you can definitely see the edges of my skin if I'm wearing makeup, but it starts to dry. You can see it. Not with this. It just makes it all go bye-bye. Unbelievable. It's an amazing product."

"I absolutely love my Dyson Supersonic Hair Dryer. I love it because I've been through so much with this. Maximum wind minimum heat, which means it maximizes the drying power but minimizes the damage. I've never found a dryer lighter, more effective, more powerful than this. When you go to the hairdresser and they're drying your scalp and you think that's got a bit too close, that's burning my scalp, but imagine what that's doing to your hair. Even though your hair is dead, it does burn and is damaged by heat. Never had that feeling with this ever. Maximum wind minimum heat to dry your hair effectively, and it smooths as well. I just absolutely love this product. Dyson have mastered the cyclone technology of wind because obviously they do all the vacuum cleaners as well. It is expensive, but to me it is unique for hair gadgets on the market."
