"I love this formula, it's one of my favorites from the ordinary. This gives the same beautiful complexion refining and brightening results as a first treatment essence. This also contains niacinamide which further helps with the texture refinement, just smoothing out and lightly slowly exfoliating the skin so gentle that you can use it twice a day. A microfluidizer technology was used to create microscopic droplets to ensure the most weightless formula. In my opinion this is almost too weightless, it is so watery that the application can be a little messy, it will seep in between your fingers. Though it does absorb quickly, you do feel that it leaves the surface very moisturized and smooth. Clinical studies were conducted and shown that after 2 weeks of regular use the appearance of pores were smaller and after 6 weeks of use a visible evening of skin tone and fading of hyperpigmentation."

"The Ordinary came out with something similar, the Soothing and Barrier Support Serum, which is pepto bismol pink. I personally reach for the modulating glucosides more as a formula. I appreciate just how much more complex that is and also it's just full of powerful antioxidants, which I always want more of in my morning routine."

"Their most recent launch is their Soothing and Barrier Support Serum, which aims to soothe uncomfortable skin, help heal and repair a damaged skin barrier, and calm redness. I started using this towards the end of the summer and I have the kind of reactive skin that turns red from too much heat, too much cold, when the wind blows. It's really soothing when my skin feels overheated. I love the texture of it, which doesn't have any oil in it but it does somehow feel lipid, kind of like it has a little bit of richness to the texture. A friend of mine who has oily skin during the summer actually used this in place of a moisturizer and she felt it was perfect. This has 2% niacinamide, Centella asiatica, and ceramides as well as vitamin B12, which is where this gets that bright pink Pepto-Bismol color from."

"This is the first time I've taken a break from using Neat's copper peptides to use another copper peptide serum from Allies of Skin, their Copper Tripeptide + Ectoin Advanced Repair Serum. I don't think it's a replacement, I do think it's different though. I also like the texture, it is bouncy, it's pretty substantial, which makes it really nice, especially in the drier months because you really feel like it's got some skin plumping hydration. There's also just a really nice bouncy slip to it during application which I enjoy. It's quite lipid, feels quite moisturizing, and it does sit on the skin, it's kind of somewhere in between."

"I've tried so many different copper peptide formulas that have come out but none that I actually feel even compares to the cis-3 or at least enough so that I would replace it in my routine until now from Allies of Skin their Copper Tripeptide + Ectoin Advanced Repair Serum. This is different in many ways from the cis-3 so it's not like I will be replacing one for the other but I'm really enjoying using this right now. This is full of age defensive peptides. In my experience this has also been really fast acting with skin that is very sensitive. The texture has the kind of viscosity to it that I really love so when you're applying it on your skin there is some slip and a little bit does go a long way. It is so hydrating and comforting. Other than the different copper peptides and amino acids also contain ectoin which is really great at protecting the skin as well as facilitating repair. This also has 2% airene which works on smoothing any kind of fine lines or wrinkles. This is also okay to use in the same routine as retinoids they're very complimentary in fact you can even use this in the same routine as ascorbic acid as long as you give just a little bit of wait time between using the two formulas like five minutes."

"Medic Cube Age R Booster Pro has five modes and is tremendously entertaining. I am still kind of in awe of the sheer strength of this device. With devices, other than a few beeps or buzzes, we can't feel that there's anything happening, but with this you really can. I feel like I was on a really good run with this with the tightening, firming, and glowing."

"From Medicube's Age R line, their Booster Pro. This is my favorite right now, it's the one I am using all the time. Booster Pro has four different modes and three of those modes are upgraded versions of their previous individual devices. You can use all four modes. This device can be used with your own skincare, you don't need any special conductive gels. Air shot mode level one is used after cleansing on dry skin. Level one already just feels really intense for me. This was created to mimic the effects of micro needling without actually using needles, and for anyone who's tried micro needling the results cannot be denied. First of all there's that skin tightening effect which is great for pores and texture, but also microchannels are created in the surface level of your skin so that skincare can absorb better."

"This is the facial device that I use the most consistently from Medicube. I love all the modes even though you can use every single one in a single routine, I don't do that all the time. I will always use two though. I also like that the cycles are pretty quick, 5 minutes each. The shot air shot mode is definitely not an everyday thing for me, it's something that I'll do every few days maybe twice a week. This is for core care. I do feel the difference. This is something that you use on dry skin after cleansing. I focus on the areas that are more porous for me which is definitely around here, the T-zone. You really feel like there's a bunch of electric needles just prickling away on your skin. These are also creating passageways so that your skin care absorbs and works better as well. This lightly exfoliates and it's good for skin that is prone to oiliness, congestion and acne. I have to say I love the way the booster mode feels, this is the glass skin mode. This is great to use with certain serums that I really love, especially the peptide ones. Those are the ones that I really want to help with the penetration. Whether they need it or not it doesn't hurt. It's even better when there's some slip to the serum, and this even works with really bouncy hydrating serums as well. Otherwise when a formula has already completely dried down, rather than pulling and dragging, just focus on certain areas of concern with the microcurrent and Derm shop mode. This also makes skin look like glass to me."

"I am still loving the Medicube Age R Booster Pro. This is more for the superficial layer of the skin. I tend to use this when I feel my skin just doesn't look great, and it's actually fun to use during my routine. It helps really boost the overall appearance of my skin. The new booster gel is the best that they have. It feels luxurious using it together, and afterwards the skin is glowing. This absorbs into your skin and hydrates it."

"This has four different modes: booster mode, microcurrent mode, Derma shot mode, and airshot mode, each with multiple levels. The Derma shot mode is particularly good for firming up the contours of your face and targets signs of aging. It will really help moisturize your other skin care and get it to absorb. The whole firming thing is kind of amazing. You can really feel it making your muscles contract and release, you can actually feel this working on your muscles in a way that you can't necessarily with microcurrent. I use this particularly for areas where I have more tension lines, and I also use it along the contours of my face with upward swoops, figure eights, and circles. If you use it around the eye area and lip area, just make sure it's at a lower setting. This is intense."

"This is a two-in-one moisturizer. On one side it's a lovely thick calming soothing gel and the other side is a dense creamy moisturizer. I really love the versatility which has carried me from Springtime to now, that's like a good three and a half seasons. During the evening I could just use the cream side on its own, although during the day I will always add a little bit of the gel mainly because the cream, while it is super moisturizing, it is not greasy at all, leaving a really velvety finish. When I add just even a little bit of the gel to the mix, suddenly it's like glowy, it's that truffle glow. Moisturizing is so situational for me so I usually adjust according to how my skin feels, what it wants, or how I even want it to look. I usually do about half half. The key trademark complex in all their formulas is truffle, which combines the most exclusive white truffles from d'Alba in Piedmont Italy with another potent antioxidant, vitamin E. They're combined in a specific ratio that has been found to affect and benefit skin elasticity. I also started just using the cream at night time, but before I go to bed I would use the gel on top of it like a sleeping pack, and that actually worked a lot better than I had expected."

"From Dalba, their White Truffle Double Serum and Cream. What I find so clever about this is that it completely solves the issue of situational moisturizing. It allows you to customize the texture of your moisturizer so your skin can feel comfortable whether it's morning or night, summer or fall. Rather than having three moisturizers, you have a customizable one where you've got two extremes of textures: one is a very hydrating gel and the other is a dense cream. I can see myself in winter just using the dense cream alone. In fact, a lot of times I just feel I can't find anything dense enough. This is dense. This is so great for combination skin as well. You can put the gel on the T-zone and the cream on the cheeks, or you can mix more cream with less gel and more gel with less cream. The options are endless, endlessly adaptable."

"One of the moisturizers that took me through the worst of my skin crisis was the Aestura Atobarrier 365 Cream. There are many days and nights where I just use this on its own, and it just has everything your compromised skin barrier needs. This is substantial. It's beautifully creamy. It's also hydrating as well. Makes your skin look really healthy."

"At first glance this seems like your no-frills, can't-go-wrong-with-it barrier restore cream, great for sensitive skin, all of that. But what particularly drew me to this is it's focused on ceramides -- all the different types of ceramides and ceramide technology. And like many of the creamy Korean creams, which I tend to have a preference for, the texture is beautiful and feels really nice when you're applying it. It feels comforting on the skin. This also has a really nice, natural, healthy-looking finish -- it's not matte, it's not velvety, but it's also not really glowy. It's just so comfortable. This has some fundamentals for a healthy skin barrier: it's got that lipid complex of ceramides, cholesterol, and fatty acids. This formula has gone through extensive testing, clinical trials. The R&D on this is by Amore Pacific, so for me there are just not going to be any surprises here. You can't really go wrong."

During the spring and summer even, I loved using this as an evening moisturizer because there was something about it that was so replenishing and soothing after a day in the sun. By now, you've heard me talk a lot about the Aestura Atobarrier 365 Cream. This was also in my 2024 year-end favorites. It's just become that all-occasion moisturizer for me. Apparently, one is sold every 7 seconds. It's a very comforting creaminess, which to me doesn't feel too rich or too heavy. And it does actually feel lightish, but it's got some magic to it. And it leaves the skin with this beautiful healthy natural finish. This has everything your skin needs for a really healthy skin barrier. This is also great under makeup, which makes this a great daytime moisturizer during the fall and winter. "I want to add as a spring favorite from Purito their Dermide Relief Barrier Moisturizer with ceramides. This was love at first application. I've been using this non-stop and will continue to through the summer. This has a light creamy texture and it feels instantly soothing and even hydrating when you apply it, and it is deceptively moisturizing without being heavy at all. It does sink and dry down but it leaves your skin feeling really beautifully moisturized and leaves a natural finish. It gives you everything your skin barrier needs. It's got the holy trifecta for skin barriers: fatty acids, cholesterols, and five different types of ceramides. There's just so much elegance to it and it's great under makeup. This isn't so heavy that I'm actually even able to use it around my eyes when I'm just too lazy to use a separate eye cream."

"This is one of their bestselling moisturizers, and I can really see why. I find it to be actually very lightweight and silky. I actually used this through the summer and I felt it to be so comforting. I love applying this with upward strokes every time I use it, which I think does make a difference to helping everything look more lifted. It's the kind of moisturizer that not just feels so good when you're applying it on your skin, but actually makes the skin look good."

"I have to say I do love the Shiseido moisturizers. I've tried a few of them and I actually was recommended the Vital Perfection Uplifting and Firming Advanced Cream. Using this reminds me how next level luxury Japanese moisturizers are just in terms of their texture and the whole experience of it all. This has a dense but lightest silk texture, but also it's got this intensity. It glides on my skin in a thin layer no matter how much I use. I only need a little bit. I love the subtle rose scent it has to it. Doesn't linger. My tip is apply this using upward strokes because I personally think that it makes a difference. My skin kind of stays lifted. This contains their proprietary forms MSK which is a melanin blocker and really helps with evening out the skin tone. Also contains their patented safflower red which is a medicinal plant as well as ginseng which you know I love. This has been shown to really reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, a brighter skin tone and even a tighter firmer appearance."

"Of course, a staple for me is Dr. Sam's flawless cleanser. It washes off completely clean without residue, does not dry out the skin, and it's effective. I feel like it's just changed the overall condition of my skin to be better."

"The one that I've almost been exclusively using this year is From Sachi Skin their Saponins Cream Cleanser. This just feels so decadent and I do love the color. This uses saponins which is a plant surfactant but it's so gentle. This just gives my skin that calming soothing comfort when I use it. This is great for those days when your skin just needs a more intense cleanse like if you've been sweating all day you have tons of layers, but of course this is still a very gentle cleanser. The texture is beautiful, it's kind of bouncy in a way that I like, and it gives a very subtle gentle lather."

"A new cleanser I've been using non-stop this winter is from Sachi Skin, their Saponins Cream Cleanser. I've been using it for well over a month now and really loving it. This is gentle but it really does effectively cleanse the skin. The texture is so comforting, which I love. I use this as a second cleanser, so I apply it immediately after my first cleanse on wet skin. It comes out rich and creamy but it rinses off completely clean without residue. This uses saponins, which is a plant-based cleansing agent. It does effectively clean but in just the most gentle and comforting way."

"I already have a laser mask for my scalp, I've just been waiting for one for my face, so this has kind of been everything I've wanted from Jovs. Their 4D Laser Light Therapy Mask is the most comfortable fitting mask I have ever tried. I actually look forward to using this. I feel like my skin was looking better after even just a week of use."

"This is the first ever laser mask from Jov's, their 4D Laser Light Therapy Mask. I've been using this for over a month now and I continue to be amazed at how this works. It's important to note that this is not an LED mask, this is laser. It uses vcal laser diodes, not LEDs, to deliver more targeted treatment to concentrate the light at that perfect 20° angle which penetrates the skin and works at a deeper level and more concentrated way. But this also has a higher radiance level which enables a precise targeting of the different layers of the skin through the different wavelengths. What I find very special about this mask is that it actually face maps so it matches the different areas of your face with the wavelength that would benefit the different concerns in that area the most. "Enter my favorite mask from Joves, their 4D laser light therapy mask. And this just happens to be the most comfortable mask. It's made of medical grade silicone, but it is an ergonomic wonder. It's cold laser, but it has some of the most impressive specs. Laser light is more powerful, goes deeper, and is more targeted than LED. So, it's more effective at tackling deeper issues like wrinkles. This has a fabulous face mapping element. So, it targets each zone of your face and the different concerns and what they precisely need. There are four different wavelengths, including one that is the most powerful on the market, which is the 1064 nanometers. The near infrared 1064 nanometer is amongst the most proven and trusted wavelength. It's powerful, but also versatile enough to target multiple different skin concerns. This mask is just one of the best for overall skin rejuvenation. And I personally feel like the results come quite quickly. I feel an improvement just after using it every day for a week."

"I've been so into overnight masking lately and the kind of sleeping masks that I've been using now is just a whole other game. This is something my dry winter skin benefits so much from and really protects it overnight. If there is one to try I highly recommend Medicube Collagen Night Wrapping Mask. It is totally skin plumping and you look like you have plastic skin after you've done your entire evening routine. You wait a bit and then apply this about 30 minutes before you go to bed. It only takes about 15 to 30 minutes to completely dry down and I kid you not, no matter how much I move my head around while I'm sleeping or rub my face or bury my face in the pillow, when I wake up in the morning the layer is not disrupted. The peel off is one of the most satisfying things ever. I really get the sense that my skincare has just absorbed everything and is super soft, smooth, and looks blurred. I would use this every single night if I could. If you can get it with the spatula I would recommend that. You apply just the amount you need which is a lot less than you think, and the peel off is also way more satisfying. I can get a complete one try peel off whereas when I'm using with my fingers it's not as even."

"Overnight masks are probably what I'm using most currently, mainly because of the drier, colder environment taking a toll on my skin. The results are seriously transformative and unbeatable. Medicube's Collagen Night Wrapping Mask is kind of magical. It's an overnight peel-off mask that executes flawlessly. After your entire evening routine, about 15 minutes before bed, you apply a thin layer over your moisturizer. It's a clear, gluey gel and applies beautifully on the skin. You only need a thin layer, in fact it feels a bit like you're applying a layer of varnish on your skin or like a top coat. In 15 minutes, it completely dries down and you can go to sleep. The adherence on this is just next level. I've even slept on my face with this on, rubbed it on my pillow, and that has not disrupted the layer at all. In the morning, everything still feels really tightened up. You still have that sort of glass, shiny veneer. You peel it off and these peel-off masks are really satisfying, almost like shedding a top layer of skin. Everything is blurred out, smooth, and just very brand new feeling. Whatever you can't peel off, you just can rinse off."

"Everyone knows this mask from Biodance, their Bio-Collagen Real Deep Mask. This is the mask you can use overnight. It starts off opaque and then after 3 to 4 hours it turns completely clear. It's actually really hard for me to keep anything on my face while I'm sleeping because I thrash around and inevitably it will somehow be removed, but this has some great adherence. When I peel it off, pores are gone, things are smooth. It's really quite sticky peeling it off, so it's really important that when I use this I use this over all my other skin care. For now this is one that I still turn to."

"Biodance Bio-Collagen Real Deep Mask is pretty much the one I consistently use the most. This has multi-low molecular collagen, which is quite fundamental in all of these sheet masks, but what makes this one stand out a little extra for me is that this contains also galactomyces ferment filtrate, which is just an ingredient I love, my skin loves it. It just gives my skin that extra complexion enhancing kick. It's full of fabulous ingredients, many of which are predictable such as different weights of hyaluronic acid, niacinamide, and so on. Each one of these masks contains 1.19 ounces of concentrated serum in it, it's basically more than your regular 1-ounce bottle of serum solidified into mask form. You apply this as an opaque mask as the last step of your skincare routine after you have applied everything else including your moisturizer, and by the morning time this will have completely turned transparent. The morning peel off is so intensely satisfying. It feels as though your skin has sucked the life out of these masks, like everything it had to give it's given, but it's like revealing newborn juicy fresh baby skin. This has been a must for me while I'm dealing with my drier skin but also it's very protective against any strong heating units just sapping my skin."

"This was my favorite new eye cream for last year. It is full of antioxidants but also it is brightening and the texture is perfection. It's rich enough that you really feel that this is moisturizing for this area but at the same time it dries down and absorbs super fast, which makes this so great for morning routine because this sits really well under makeup but at the same time it gives you long-lasting moisturization. This has been clinically tested to show results within 2 weeks of brighter eyes and less pigment."

"One of my favorite eye creams from last year is the Mary and May Tranexamic Acid and Glutathione Eye Cream. This is all about the brightening and the antioxidant protection. It has tranexamic acid but also contains glutathione, which is a powerful antioxidant. What I like about this is that it's actually quite intensely moisturizing as well without feeling that way. This is a richer eye cream, but when you apply it, it is so silky and smooth and it dries down really fast, but you feel like it is very much moisturizing the skin around here. I even put it on my upper eyelids and there's no heaviness, but you get the intense moisture."

"The texture is perfection. It's rich enough that you really feel that this is moisturizing for this area, but at the same time it dries down and absorbs super fast, which makes this so great for morning routine because this sits really well under makeup but at the same time it gives you long-lasting moisturization. This has been clinically tested to show results within 2 weeks of brighter eyes and less pigment. This is all about the brightening of this area. It also contains tranexamic acid, 3% I believe, as well as some brightening vitamin C derivatives and it's got some peptides in it. What I'm really drawn to and what makes me reach for this in the mornings is it's got those brightening pigments to it. It's a real subtle brightening, perfect for neutralizing the more purplish pigment I get around here, which is more an anemic, like a bruise. This is also a very, very lightweight texture in my opinion."

"When everything feels and looks dull and fatigued or even anemic, it's all about the brightening. It contains three derivatives of vitamin C, the three that are the most powerful at visibly brightening the skin. This also contains 3% tranexamic acid as well as licorice root, which are both well known for helping brighten the skin and even out pigmentation. For aging concerns, there's also bakuchiol and peptides, and for the deep puffing, there's caffeine in this. But my favorite part of this eye cream is just that golden hue it has. This is similar to the Ula Hendrickson's banana eye cream. I just love that neutralizing golden hue, great for instant results as well. When I use this, my eyes immediately just feel more awake. This is actually quite lightweight, it feels very refreshing, and of course this works really beautifully under makeup."

"The Ordinary Multi-Peptide Eye Serum: I don't find it equal standing. I think if your concerns are more preventive and you are seeing more or less the first signs of aging around the eyes, then I think this is an absolutely fabulous option."

"I really love their new Multi-Peptide Eye Serum. I think it's such an effective formula, it's got everything I need for this eye area. The Ordinary just really knows how to do peptides well. This contains eight actives which make up 35% of the entire formula, which is concentrated love. This treats the eyes on so many levels. I love the fact that I can use this on my upper mobile lids as well as the under eyes. This has niacinamide for the brightening, and a bunch of signal peptides like Matrixyl for really helping with the appearance of lines and crows feet. There's also Acetyl Tetrapeptide-5 which is really effective at dealing with undereye puffiness, but there's also caffeine in this as well to help with that too. I'm not just talking about eye bags, I'm talking about upper lid puffiness as well. I feel like this has been effective at reducing that. This is lightweight in texture but it's just robust enough that you feel it hydrating the skin around here and plumping the skin where the fine lines are. This is a great affordable alternative that is similarly effective."

"VT's PDRN line for me last year was just a superstar. I loved everything I tried from their capsule cream, which I mean, it's just glorious. This is something, especially during the summer that I loved using."

"This one was in my favorite Korean moisturizers video from VT, their PDRN Capsule Cream. The formula itself as well as the textures just simply delightful, beautiful. It's moisturizing enough, but it's also just hydrating enough as well. Nine peptides, five different ceramides, and 10 different forms of hyaluronic acid. But their form of vegan PDRN is ginseng root, which you know I love. This, in my experience, is probably the most flattering of them all. I actually really love when the pot starts getting messy. I feel like I get actually better applications that way and I can control the ratio of cream to gel better."

"It's milky and it's not your typical texture. While you're applying it on your skin, there's a little bit of a grippy, skin gripping effect. It smooths out, but it's almost as though you're putting a light top coat, and this kind of shellacs all the flaky skin down. It's a mixture of cream and gel. Super hydrating, very refreshing. This with other products just brings it over the top for me. The texture is beautifully milky and it has this bounciness to it that just makes my skin so happy. I find this has the lightness, but it's actually really quite moisturizing. It's more substantial than just your average hydrating toner. This has five different types of ceramides as well as phytoestazine and cholesterol making that beautiful trifecta for barrier support and preventing transepidermal water loss. You really do feel like this holds everything in, but it's so soothing. It's so comforting and it is intensely hydrating."

"This is a well-aging powerhouse for those with very sensitive skin. This has also gone through skin sensitivity testing. From the minute you apply it you already feel the difference it makes. This doesn't just absorb and disappear, it just makes everything better. This is not just hydrating, it keeps everything as well. It's got probiotics. I love this."

"My new favorite rice toner is from Haruharu Wonder, their Black Rice Probiotics Barrier Essence. This is less rice water and more like rice cake in liquid form. This makes my skin even look like rice cakes, it's brighter, it's plumper, it's bouncier, it's hydrated, it even feels slightly moisturizing. Love it."

"This is the rice toner of my dreams and is so perfect for right now. I love rice in skincare, and they use fermented black rice but it also has ferment filtrates like galactomyces. I think that's such a wonderful combination because both ingredients, at least for my skin, are great at just refining the texture and brightening the skin tone. This also contains the powerful barrier fortifying trifecta of ceramides, cholesterol, and fatty acids at the golden ratio of 3 to 1:1. It's also made using a patented process of creating evenly sized microparticles so it can be light and absorb really nicely in the skin. It definitely feels moisturizing though it's not greasy at all. It's just a beautiful, beautiful formula."

"I absolutely love this one from The Ordinary, the Squalane and Amino Acids Lip Balm. It's nourishing, it's glossy, it's light. It feels a bit like a hydrating serum as well as a lip balm. I love the texture and if we're being honest I love the packaging maybe even more."

"I am loving this from The Ordinary, their Squalane + Amino Acids lip balm. My main attraction to this is its packaging, but it's actually a great lip balm as well. It's not a heavy sleeping mask lip balm, it's almost like a serum. This does feel instantly hydrating, as though it kind of plumps the skin of your lips, which is a different sensation that I get from very buttery or waxy lip balms.
