"I just fell in love because of the smell. I do believe that fragrance can play a very nice role in skincare if it makes you feel better. I started using it because I enjoy the scent and I just continued using it particularly on my neck because we all start noticing that laxity that starts to build. This is the Clarins Double Serum and you can clearly see that I've been using this one because of the clear chamber, which is interestingly the only one that has a clear chamber. It is an expensive one for $135. It has a base of water and oil so you can actually see the water and the oil and you have to mix them together. It does feel oily and it does feel like it has a tackiness and a residue, but I will apply it on my neck and I just love the smell so much. It has turmeric in it. Turmeric is not a miracle ingredient, but it does address some signs of aging and has some anti-inflammatory benefits. This product in particular has something known as organic giant prental reed which neutralizes the impact of skin aging from the world and environmental stress and it does give a firming effect to your skin. I would try this on your neck if you have crepy skin on your neck."

"Clarins Double Serum comes in a double chamber, a hydric and lipidic system, and it smells heavenly. It's a two-phase serum you mix in your hands, and when you apply it on areas like your neck and chest, especially the crepey areas, your skin looks firmer and tauter immediately. It gives instant gratification, filling in the cracks and crepiness. I absolutely love it, and the smell is just perfection."

"It has hyaluronic acid and hydrayed lime seed extract which stimulates epidermal thickening. So the combination of these two chambers in this one product is really like two products in one. Although it retails for $295, you might almost want to think of it as two separate products for $150 each. It doesn't make it cheaper, but this is one that patients come into my practice requesting and that is why I have it because the reviews from the patients have been stellar and people love this."

"This is a tried and true and yes it is expensive but this has EGF, TGF beta and FGF, okay? And they're all human derived. It doesn't mean they're coming from human skins. It means human skins was put in a culture medium and that culture medium was then taken, filtered, sterilized and stabilized and you're getting that and that's what you're applying on the surface of your skin. This works best for deep wrinkles elasticity. I love it post-procedurally after micro needling, any type of radio frequency with micro needling, any type of frail. It really does help to renew your skin and works best for deep aging concerns and it comes at a pricey heft of nearly $295. But this is something that I don't necessarily use every single night because of the price. I can tolerate retinol. So I'll use a retinol on my face. But I may use this on my neck and chest if I do not tolerate the retinols, especially after I exfoliate. I love her. She's great."

"SkinMedica has their TNS Advanced serum. You can use this from here to here, you will not get irritated on your neck, unlike if you use a retinol on your neck and chest where most of you will get irritated. You can even find hexapeptide-2, which helps with fine lines in the active seal. So there's vitamin C, peptides, and moisturizer, also ceramides in this. This is purely growth factors and peptides in here. I can use this one from here to here and I do use this at night underneath my moisturizer, which gives me an extra boost."

"SkinMedica TNS Advanced Serum is a blend of growth factors, cytokines, and matrix proteins that can stimulate fibroblasts, which are the cells responsible for producing collagen, to increase collagen synthesis. It's pricey, but if you've tried all the rest and feel like you need more, venture into this. If you want something for your neck and chest and you've never been able to tolerate a retinol but you want something more than coenzyme Q10, try this, it definitely helps."

"It comes in a dual chamber pump and you get two types of serums that get pumped out of it that you mix together when you apply it. There is a very light scent to it, just beware because it does pill over other products that have actives. I personally use this at night on my face, neck and chest. I actually use this exclusively on my neck and chest on most nights because my neck and chest cannot always tolerate a retinol and sometimes it gets irritated. Their growth factor cocktail is made up of medium long amino acid sequences, which are basically small proteins that help your cells to signal one another to stimulate growth, proliferation and differentiation, which is what you want your face and your skin to have in order to stay youthful."

"The classic vitamin C that everyone thinks about is SkinCeuticals C E Ferulic, the hot dog sauce or the hot dog water. It is an OG. It is active vitamin C, L-ascorbic acid. But that's not necessarily for everyone. If you're sensitive, I wouldn't recommend it, because L-ascorbic acid can inflame your skin and that can make your pigmentation worse."

"The active form of vitamin C is called ascorbic acid, kind of like in SkinCeuticals C E Ferulic, but not everybody can tolerate ascorbic acid and if you have sensitive skin it might actually inflame some of your acne marks and turn them even more red which might make them more brown in the long run. So if you're sensitive look for a vitamin C ester instead of the active form. If you're not sensitive, knock yourself out with the active form, but just be careful marrying the active form to the next ingredient because it can be irritating because they are both quite aggressive."

"SkinCeuticals C E Ferulic has a great reputation for a reason. They have a patent on their particular ratio of vitamin C, vitamin E and ferulic acid at 15% L-ascorbic acid, 1% vitamin E and 0.5% ferulic acid. And this patented stabilization system has made it super effective over the years. But here's the tea: in March 2025, they lost their patent."

"SkinCeuticals, 182 dollars stuff right here, is it good? Yeah, it's good. Is it worth 182? Um, if you love it sure, but I don't think so. And can't they upgrade the dropper because it's a waste? You feel like you're like a rat in a race against time when you buy this product."

"L ascorbic acid is the active form of vitamin C and the most irritating form of vitamin C when you combine that with an irritating ingredient whether it is an exfoliating acid or a retinol or whatever it is it's going to have the potential of being slightly more irritating together and if you are sensitive you probably do not want to combine the two. The bigger reality is that vitamin C is not vitamin C across the board this is where formulation matters."

"Shani Darden has a Lactic Acid Serum that goes for $88. A 9% Lactic Acid Serum with glucanolactone, which is a PHA, which is better geared towards sensitive skin. It will help to refine texture if you're sensitive and brighten dull skin."

"Shani Darden has a 9% Lactic Acid Serum toner that I actually really do like, especially on the bumps on the back of the arms."

"Timeless has really good vitamin C products. These are 10% ascorbic acid as well as a 20%. The yellow one is the 20%. It smells like hot dogs, it looks orangey amber, it stinks. It comes in an opaque pump which I prefer to a dropper even though I know that a pump and a dropper both get a little bit of air in it. I still think the pump is overall better. That retails for 24 bucks."

"I absolutely love this vitamin C serum. It's extremely affordable. It is the active form of vitamin C and it comes in a pump. So you're not dealing with a dropper and it's not going to oxidize fast. If you've ever bought a skin care product with vitamin C, it turns brown pretty quick and that just means it's oxidized. We got to toss it. It's not going to work. At least here it's in a pump. That doesn't mean it has zero exposure to air, but the exposure is much less and therefore is going to oxidize much slower."

"This is the Timeless skincare line that is usually found at drugstore. You're going to have your 20% vitamin C and your 10% vitamin C. This is ascorbic acid, which is the active form of vitamin C. It is also combined with ferulic acid and vitamin E, which is the classic combination that you think of when you think of skin serum vitamin C ferulic. It is a very clear lightweight serum that smells like hot dogs, similarly to the C ferulic line, but I love that it comes in an opaque pump and not a silly dropper, so it is definitely winning when it comes to packaging and when it comes to the bang for your buck in that sense because it only retails for $27. Now, ascorbic acid is not for everyone. It can be very irritating, it is hard to formulate, and it is not one that lasts, so even though it isn't an opaque pump you probably do want to use it up in a time sensitive fashion."

"If you don't want to break your bank you can get Timeless 20% Vitamin C + E + Ferulic Acid Serum. 10 if you are sensitive, 20 if you want to go wrong and strong, anything above 20 is useless you do not need it."

"Timeless Vitamin C at 24 bucks is a 10% active vitamin C, L-ascorbic acid with vitamin E and ferulic acid. It's a great, very great price point and people love vitamin C, but L-ascorbic acid, which is the active form of vitamin C, can be irritating for many. Hence why I don't necessarily recommend it, especially if you have hyperpigmentation, because you don't want to make the hyperpigmentation worse."

"L ascorbic acid is the active form of vitamin C and the most irritating form of vitamin C when you combine that with an irritating ingredient whether it is an exfoliating acid or a retinol or whatever it is it's going to have the potential of being slightly more irritating together and if you are sensitive you probably do not want to combine the two."

"Azelaic acid is a nice one to add in during this step if you're somebody who needs an additional boost when it comes to whether it is hormonal breakouts or discoloration or both. I will preface it by saying that it stinks. Paula's Choice 10% azelaic acid at 10% over the counter is ideal, otherwise get yourself a 15% prescription. It will pill, and azelaic acid is one of those ingredients that I use at night and not necessarily in the morning because it's just not cosmetically elegant. I have yet to find a pure azelaic acid that doesn't pill, so you incorporate it at night if you have breakouts or pigmentation issues."

"Paula's Choice has her 10% Azelaic Acid Booster. It doesn't smell great but it's not meant to smell great. If you can't tolerate it, just use it at night. Don't use it during the day underneath makeup because it will pill."

"Paula's Choice has her Azelaic Acid Booster at 10%. It does have a little bit of an azelaic acidy scent to it which is not my favorite, but it is a staple and a go-to for redness. It calms inflammation, it has antioxidant protection in it, and it can help minimize the look of dilated blood vessels, especially if you have rosacea."

"Paula's Choice, this is a 10% Azelaic Acid Booster. It has a little bit of licorice and it does have salicylic acid. If you're sensitive or you think your barrier is inflamed, beware, don't go for it because the salicylic acid might mess you up. But azelaic acid regulates your anti-inflammatory properties and antibacterial properties and it helps as an antioxidant as well."

"Paula's Choice has a 10% azelaic acid serum that's great if you have rosacea or discoloration. It is not great alone though, you must use azelaic acid in conjunction with other ingredients, it may pill so I'd use it at night, and it smells a little powdery, but that's normal."

"Dr. Jart+ Cicapair Sensitive Skin Serum has a dynamic duo of Centella Asiatica and Panthenol. This serum retails for $54 and it soothes redness and strengthens your barrier."

"Dr. Jart has a Cicapair Sensitive Skin Serum filled with centella asiatica and allantoin. It has a light green color, though that won't really cancel the color of your redness, but it works over time to minimize your redness."

"I most recently came across Allies of Skin Multipeptides & Growth Factor Advanced Lifting Serum and this one, it's really beautiful. It is hydrating because it has phospholipids and glycolipids in it. It does help improve firmness because of the copper lysinate, but it has something called SH, which stands for synthetic human oligopeptide one, which is a growth factor complex that mimics epidermal growth factors in humans to stimulate collagen production. It's bioengineered and it is lovely. She retails for a whopping 188, but I will tell you I love it, and I've also been using it on my neck."

"It's Allies of Skin Multipeptides & Growth Factor Advanced Lifting Serum. It has 3% growth factor complex which is their complex that is meant to enhance skin repair and strengthen your barrier function, and it has a 9% lifting peptide complex, another complex made out of multiple peptides that improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. It is very expensive, but I think when you're testing out very expensive products that have these claims of helping lines and wrinkles, test it on areas where your skin is thin. Take a tiny bit and just focus on your under eyes, and then this product will last a very, very long time and you'll be able to tell if your under eyes look better."

"Vanicream has a Vitamin C Serum which is interesting because they've used tetrahexodiciliscorbate. It comes in a very lightweight serum, very watery. Only one drop goes a long way. There is no scent to it and you can use it up to twice a day. This one retails for 18. If you are somebody who wants something very light, you can actually use this slightly under your eyes but you do not need to go and invest in a majorly expensive eye cream. If you are prone to comedones, I probably would not do this."

"Vanicream has one for $21, it is a Vitamin C Serum. Unlike for example this one, it doesn't have the peptides that this has, but it is a great option to incorporate underneath a sunscreen. You can use it in the morning, it is suitable for sensitive skin, and for $21 it is a great add-on into your routine."

"The In Beauty Project Elastic Skin Serum is a more affordable option for 42 bucks and it has encapsulated vegan growth factors at 6%, it also has copper and biohacking peptides. Copper peptides help with anti-inflammatory effects and help with the aging process. Just don't use this in the same routine as your ascorbic acid. You can probably use it with Ester vitamin C, so if you're using an active vitamin C use this at night and use the active vitamin C in the morning. This one also has no fragrance and it does contain HA as well. It has a light periwinkle hue to it and it is very very very very sticky and tacky, which is not necessarily my favorite."

"This one is their Elastic Skin, and it's a plant derived growth factor, epidermal growth factor. So what does that mean? It means you're going to get a lot of antioxidant effects, a lot of anti-inflammatory effects, good hydrating effects, but it's not necessarily going to boost your collagen, so just be aware. And this is 46 to 48 bucks. If I get asked do you just buy this instead of the other, they're different, it's not the same. It may sound the same, but they're different because they're derived from different sources. You're still going to get a benefit from this, but know what to expect and what benefit you are getting."

"The Ordinary has their azelaic acid suspension at 10%. Use it at night, not during the day. It's going to pill underneath your makeup and you're going to be annoyed 20 minutes after applying it."

"The Ordinary, this one's great at night when you have nowhere to go and you don't care who you're seeing. It is a 10% azelaic acid suspension. You do kind of sometimes have to shake it, I feel, but it appears nice and elegant. But it does pill after a while, so do not be fooled by the first impression with this. It's 11 bucks though, so you're not really going to go wrong."

"I use this one by L'Oreal. I always switch the dropper with a pump. If you have cold sores beware it can make your cold sores come out with a vengeance so I would approach very cautiously, but I like to exfoliate my lips with an exfoliating acid and not a physical scrub because I've always found it causes more layers of dead skin that I end up wanting to pick with my mouth and ends up being a bigger disaster."

"L'Oreal has their Glycolic Acid Serum at 10 percent. It has a long play time. It is honestly kind of expensive for 33 bucks for just glycolic acid, but it is a beautiful basic Glycolic Acid Serum. I do like it because it goes a long way. I like the texture and it gives your skin a nice sheen. It also has aloe extracts in it which helps a little bit for soothing benefits. I hate the dropper."

"The major fade hyper serum is the powerhouse serum. This is the correction step that's going to help to fade the dark spots and instantly illuminate your skin."

"The number one product within our Sephora picks for dark spots is my hyper serum. This is a powerhouse serum that comes with a refill for 68 bucks. Why is it a powerhouse? Because it has kojic acid, arbutin, licorice root, niacinamide, dioic acid, gallic acid in addition to the fact that it is hydrating upon application and it gives an instant glow. Now the instant glow doesn't mean that it's working instantly. It just gives you the oomph to keep carrying on because the name of the game is consistency."

It is great for pigmentation and discoloration, in terms of brown discoloration. It is an arnica based depuffing serum that comes with a roller, and the reason I made this was because I wanted a serum that continues to depuff and reduce the look of redness long after you're done depuffing with a roller. I wanted the serum to be a mirror effect of what a roller can do and more, and we were able to do this and prove that it works through clinical studies. "The De-Puffer has a scent that comes from the arnica. The arnica has a scent, but it is fragrance-free. I keep this baby next to my bed, and quite frankly before I even open my eyes I roll around my eyes and massage the gel in, and then I go to the bathroom, then I use the toilet, then I brush my teeth, then I jump in the shower, and by the time I come out it's like I'm open. When I do drink alcohol it really does affect my eyes the next day, and ever since I had LASIK especially I do feel the dryness makes my eyes more reactive in terms of puffiness. It is an arnica based serum, it has centella asiatica, it has niacinamide, it has bark extract. It's like Spanx for the eyes. It's not necessarily an eye product, you can use it all over your face. I do use it along the jawline and the nose and my eyes, especially when I'm red, when I have a bruise or a wound or something that's swollen, I use it on it because of the arnica. But I use it every day around my eyes, that is how I use it. Before I wake up I apply it, so it's usually next to my bed, and then I roll it around my eyes. I don't let it get into my eyes, and by the time I come to the bathroom and brush my teeth and use the toilet and shower and then come out, it's like my eyes open up a little bit. It goes a long way. It has a weird tint to it, a yellow hue and a scent, the scent is the arnica, we did not try to mask it, I do not believe in that, so you smell it as it is and you see the color as it is. It's not diluted, it is not formulated in a homeopathic fashion."

A little bit goes a long way. The reason it is brown is because it is not diluted. When you guys think of traditional arnica products you can buy in a supermarket or a pharmacy or in Europe, they're clear, homeopathic 10x. 10x doesn't mean 10 times as strong, it means 10 times diluted, and this is not that. This is all you need, you see how much I squeezed, and I always squeeze it off. This is how much I use and this goes a very long way. You don't need more than that for your full face, and even less if you're just doing your eyes. Something that is effective, that is quality, you do not need a lot of, and when you put too much it's going to peel because it's high in actives, and you want to make sure you're not overdoing it and wasting product in the process."

"If you have redness and are trying to minimize it, and you also have a lot of inflammation, arnica is an ingredient that can really help since it's anti-inflammatory to minimize that inflammation, and that is what I put in the De Puffer, which has an arnica serum and a roller to help minimize swelling associated with redness. "It has centella asiatica, arnica, and azelaic acid in it which all have anti-inflammatory effects and it reduces the look of inflammation. It has been shown to promote collagen production and it also has certain antioxidants that can protect the skin from damage caused by free radicals. I love this product if you have rosacea because it is loaded in centella asiatica but it also has arnica, and arnica is not one that is traditionally thought of for rosacea but it works like a charm because it helps reduce the redness and calms the inflammation in a synergistic way so your skin looks less flushed within a couple of minutes when done correctly. Arnica is tricky though because when you look for arnica products more often than not they're diluted in a homeopathic fashion. This one is purely arnica because it is pure arnica. The golden hue you see here is due to the high concentration of arnica in this formulation."

"Aveeno Calm + Restore Oat Gel Moisturizer. Holy grail. I've been talking about it since 2019, 2020. I'm obsessed. Colloidal oatmeal really does help to soothe irritation, hydrate deeply, and help repair the skin barrier by replenishing your skin's lipids. It contains acetylol tetropeptide 40, a next-gen peptide that helps your skin stay calm under pressure and reduces visible redness by strengthening very fragile capillaries and soothing inflamed skin over time. And zinc PCA, which is your skin's stress manager. It's going to help balance oil, calm inflammation, irritation, and keep bacteria under control. This is going to regulate your sebum, minimize your redness, and support your skin. If you have eczema and flare-ups, this is really helpful for healing your skin."

"The Aveeno Calm + Restore is a gel based moisturizer which is very nice and lightweight but at the same time not overpowering or overbearing. There's no vitamin C in this so you'll need a vitamin C serum in the morning."

But it does have a ceramide complex with ceramide NP, EOP, and AP in it, and ceramides are going to keep our skin feeling soft and supple and nice and flexible, so it's really really good for your neck and even your décolletage. It is thick but still relatively fluffy so it's not going to sit down and just make you suffocated completely. It is much more lightweight than Cetaphil and it is oilier in terms of residue than Cetaphil, which is interesting because Cetaphil is more of a petrolatum."

"This guy by Augustinus Bader, this is their body cream. I love their body cream. It's very expensive, 190 bucks, but you could take a little bit and make it go a very long way by using just a little bit of this on your neck, using a tiny bit of this even for your under eyes if you wanted, because it's a much thicker moisturizer. This is super thick and it kind of reminds me of Nivea, which is a complete insult because it is not Nivea and it's much more expensive, but you do not need to be using this much all the time. This has bisabolol, which helps to support your skin's barrier function, shea butter as well. It's extremely rich. I mean, this just feels lux, and sometimes skincare is aspirational."

"Augustinus Bader is a brand I love and respect. It's very expensive so I limit how often I recommend it, but the sale is a time to explore it. This is their Rich Cream with TFC8, a patented technology that optimizes the skin's renewal process, discovered in burn victims, so it can really help your skin regenerate and renew, especially if you're sensitive to retinols. It has a blend of amino acids, high-grade vitamins and molecules that work with your skin's stem cells to boost repair, hydration and resilience."

"Eucerin's Q10 Anti-Wrinkle Cream is excellent. It has Coenzyme Q10 in it and it is legit a spackle body butter. It looks like the perfect consistency of butter that I love at the dining table where it's not too hard and not too soft but just perfect, it's room temperature butter. It's amazing and it's only twelve dollars. This is one you guys should be putting on your neck, on your chest, everywhere, and your face obviously. It's lightweight enough where you feel like your skin is going to absorb it nicely. You might as well use it elsewhere on your neck, on your chest, anywhere else. If you're somebody who's drier though, because this is not going to be great for very dry skin."

"La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Baume B5 has [panthenol], shea butter, madecassoside, copper as well as zinc gluconate. Zinc oxide is better when it comes to fully restoring a barrier, but this one is great for hydration and locking it in. It is white. I use this all over my face and the same way that I base my lips. I apply it at night and then I go to sleep. I let it melt into my skin. I probably put it on half an hour to an hour before I go to bed, and then it just melts and does its thing, and the next day my skin is like glowy. It's also a nice one if you are feeling slightly inflamed. I do wish the zinc was slightly different to have more of an anti-inflammatory effect and more a restorative effect, but nonetheless it works pretty damn well and it really is a very nice overnight mask situation."

"La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Baume B5 is a hydrating moisturizer with zinc in it. If you have discoloration and an inflamed barrier, or you're red and irritated because it's so dry outside, it's a nice option to use because of the zinc to help calm any irritation. It's very thick. I like to use this at night. I wouldn't use the B5 during the day after the active serum because it might be too white or opaque and it might be just too much on your skin."

"I go in with the Dr. Idriss Major Fade Active Seal Moisturizer, which is a two-in-one moisturizer with added benefits of vitamin C. The vitamin C in here can be used twice a day, even after you exfoliate."

"Tetrahexyldecyl ascorbate, for example, which is in the Dr. Idriss Major Fade Active Seal. This is a two-in-one vitamin C moisturizer, but more than that, it also has ferulic acid, resorcinol, ceramides and peptides, so it's going to help to strengthen your skin barrier while brightening your skin. "Dr. Idriss Major Fade Active Seal Moisturizer is my favorite. It has tetrahexyldecyl ascorbate, which is not the active form of vitamin C, and it comes in a gel moisturizer, so you can use this twice a day, in the morning and at night with a retinol, and not be afraid of irritating your skin. I get 24 hours of vitamin C on my skin, in the morning and at night, to help with the look of any sort of brown spots, discoloration, hyperpigmentation. It's glycerin based. There's no hyaluronic acid in my moisturizer, and that's on purpose. I intentionally did not put HA in my line because you don't need it, since you're going to get it through other products."

"Now I have the pleasure of using a lab sample that just came to me today. Normally it's half a pump to the face, that is all you need. The reason I love my Active Seal by Dr. Idriss is because it has vitamin C, not the L-ascorbic acid form of vitamin C, because that you probably would not want to use with the copper peptides from the Allies of Skin. It has the tetra form of vitamin C, also known as tetrahexyldecyl ascorbate, which you can easily use with copper peptides because it does not get oxidized the same way that L-ascorbic acid does, and it can easily be used with peptides. My motto in life is consistency over intensity. "This is where I like to incorporate vitamin C, because you get the two in one. It minimizes the step of having to invest in a simple vitamin C serum, but you can also use a vitamin C while hydrating your skin in the process. Additionally, there are other actives in this moisturizer. It also has an ingredient known as forbutal resourcenol which rivals hydroquinone in the studies that were presented to us by the raw ingredient suppliers. And so that means it is going to help to brighten your skin as well. Additionally, I threw in some peptides as well as ceramides to help to strengthen your skin barrier health. I said yes because I am obsessed and because I thought it was funny that it's a butt paste company. But the fact that this stuff is so good and great for your face, for your skin barrier, you're going to look like a ghost, it's not cosmetically elegant, but it does the job. I love it. If you have a baby I think try it out, but just definitely do not double dip. Do not use the jar that you've used on your baby's butt because that might be contaminated. Just get a squeezy tube for your own face."

"Triple Paste, zinc oxide is a beautiful ingredient. It has anti-inflammatory effects. When a kid has a rash down there, you slap this all over their little tushies in a gentle way in order to minimize their rash, to calm the inflammation down so they have less friction on their privates. When it comes to your face, if you have an inflamed skin barrier and you're trying to restore your barrier, zinc oxide can really help restore that barrier. And when it comes in the form of a Diaper Rash Cream, when it's married to petrolatum, it will help create an occlusive layer while calming any inflammation down, and it works wonders as an overnight mask treatment, especially in a dry climate or in a very cold climate or when the temperatures are changing. Not all diaper rash creams are created equal. Don't go for one with essential oils, definitely don't, and make sure there's no steroid in it because that can make things worse. This is probably my favorite one. I have two kids who are six and four, and this was the one that I used on my kids."

"Triple Paste is a great second one to try that doesn't have any of that white residue because there's no zinc in it. It's not going to be as good in terms of an anti-inflammatory perspective but it's going to be great in terms of locking in moisture. If you're somebody who gets flushed but you're not sensitive and you have dry skin, so your skin is always red and you're just trying to cool your skin down while keeping it hydrated and dewy, this is it. It smells like a spa, yes it has fragrance, there is MGA which is a menthol derivative in it and it does actually cool your skin. It's not just the idea that it's cooling your skin, it has been shown to reduce your skin's temperature by 7 degrees so it will cool your skin."

"I love this stuff. I would use it all the time on my babies when they were babies, but I use it when I have any sort of irritation and I also use it in the winter when my face is really dry and inflamed with windburn. Triple Paste has zinc oxide in it to help reduce inflammation, soothe redness, flaking and itchiness. I reserve this once you've reached the other extreme of looking red, flaky and off and you want to restore your skin back to where it was."

"Triple Paste is an all-time fave. It is not exactly a moisturizer, it is more of an occlusive and it's going to seal the deal. It has zinc oxide in it, zinc oxide has anti-inflammatory benefits. It also gives a white cast. Because it is extremely rich, basically it is petrolatum, it is like Vaseline with zinc oxide, it's going to seal everything in and reduce inflammation. I put on a thick layer 30 minutes to an hour before I go to sleep at night at the end of my skincare routine, and although I look kind of ghostlike by the time I wake up in the morning it has absorbed and I wash my face normally with water. It's beautiful. I would strongly advise you try this out anywhere from two to four times a week at night. If you live in a humid environment or you're oily, I probably would not do that."

"My Diaper Rash Cream of choice is Triple Paste because I have literally gone through every single Diaper Rash Cream on my kids' tushies and I am telling you this was the best one ever. It would help heal their cracked skin. The way it works is that because it has petroleum jelly plus zinc oxide, which has anti-inflammatory effects, it would help to heal and soothe your skin as well and not just act like an occlusive. Plus, it has a little bit of cornstarch that would wick away extra moisture. So when you are putting this directly on inflamed skin, that can be helpful if you are making sure that you are also using Vaseline underneath or you are making sure that your skin is not completely dehydrated."

"Nutrafol Vegan is the one I like. It does not have any biotin in it. Is it going to grow you like a Chia Pet? Probably not. But it allows your hair to stay on your head longer. So it really does give the fuller effect of hair and I like it."

"In terms of hair, Nutrafol Vegan is where it's at because it has no biotin and the pills are much smaller and so much easier to swallow than the old ones. Honestly, I have the worst gag reflex, and that's the one you want to try."

For me, I didn't like the fact that my hair looked a little grimy the next day, and I did get an irritation from it when I used it topically where I would get a lot of flaking and itching, and therefore I had to quit it."

"A triple lipid by SkinCeuticals is a nice one if you're very dry or in a very dry climate you might want to supplement this with a thick rich basic moisturizer, but gel moisturizers can take you just where you need to be without overpowering your skin."

"It is loaded with ceramides, it is a rich but not too rich hydrating serum that's going to help restore your skin barrier and it does not have hyaluronic acid. Just beware if you have sensitive skin there are essential oils, it might be a little bit irritating."

Ultra Violette is a brand that has been around in Australia for quite some time, and internationally I have been hearing some chirpings that it is going to be coming to the US. Their SPF 50 Ultra Violette Supreme Screen is one of my favorites. It is a hybrid sunscreen, it has tinosorb M which is technically both a chemical and a physical filter. It is thicker in appearance and this one is going to leave your skin feeling very much quenched in terms of hydration while protecting your skin."

"The one that launched in the US is made up of US filters, so it's going to be a US-based chemical filter sunscreen of SPF 50, but it is absolutely beautiful in texture and finish. It is loaded with an ingredient known as pentathin, which helps to boost hydration for up to 72 hours, plus it has squalane to lock in your moisture barrier. So for $36, this one is great for you if you are dry, living in a dry climate, or both. But if you're oily or you live somewhere really humid, you don't necessarily need this one."

"For 10 bucks this sunscreen also doubles up as a nice moisturizer especially if you have dry skin it is a beautiful product can't be beat I think it's cheaper than McDonald's nowadays and it is fragrance free."

"This is an SPF 50 PA4+ and it is a beautiful lightweight, light hydrating sunscreen. In summer, I sometimes do not feel the need to use a moisturizer underneath this, it gets me to where I need to go. In winter, as things get drier, yes, you can use a moisturizer underneath it. It is great for soothing your skin, reducing inflammation, and helping with post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation because it has not only niacinamide in it, it also has chamomile extract. Everything I love about it is glycerin based. The filters in it are international filters, there's Avobenzone, Tinosorb S, Tinosorb M, as well as Isotropol, and this does offer a great UVA protective range. It's a hybrid of both chemical and physical sunscreens, so it's a great one. I absolutely love it. I think you guys should look into it, and it is relatively cheap and easy to get."

"Tatcha is another one that patients have told me about specifically. They've just repackaged, thank God I hated their old packaging. This is an SPF 50, it's their silk sunscreen, and this one retails for $60 and it is zinc oxide based. My patients of darker skin tones have told me specifically about these."

"Tatcha has their Silk Sunscreen SPF 50, it is a weightless mineral sunscreen and finally they changed the packaging, their previous packaging was a disaster and it is so much better than their old old one, it is night and day. "There's the Supergoop Glow Screen, which I use as a highlighter on the high cheeks of my face. I love it because it makes me feel like a disco ball. I can't tolerate it all over my face, though, it does burn my eyes."

I take a tiny bit, just kind of like use it because I like the disco ball effect it gives. If you're very sensitive, you're going to feel it. My eyes are extremely sensitive, so I felt it slightly around the eyes. There is some makeup still left behind. It's not great at cleaning your face, but again, it is an active cleanser, so maybe you want to go in first with a gentle cleanser before going in with this."

Especially if you live in the city, you want to get all that crud and buildup off of your face because this stuff is going to cause your collagen to break down faster. "Vanicream, as much as I love it, doesn't get all that makeup off nor the sunscreen off. Even though you can't see it, because it doesn't get the makeup off, it makes me think it's not getting the sunscreen off."

"One of the ones I love to recommend is PanOxyl. This is the highest you'll probably find over the counter, at ten percent. The way I recommend using this is applying it to a clean face, letting it sit for five minutes, and then jumping into the shower, preferably while you're naked, so that you do not bleach your clothes, and this way it minimizes any impact it may have on your towels."

"Salicylic acid is great because it's oil loving and it's going to go deeper into your pores. PanOxyl you can use on your face at night several times a week. It's very similar to Paula's Choice but it's much cheaper, and it comes for 12 bucks."

"You really want to make sure that you are using ingredients like benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid, or even sulfur to help clear that breakout. PanOxyl comes at 10% benzoyl peroxide. Interesting fact, you don't need to have it at 10% for it to be effective, it's even effective at three to five percent, but just FYI it may bleach your towels. The way I recommend using this is applying it to your body or your face while you're naked brushing your teeth, letting it sit for five to ten minutes, and then jumping into the shower and washing it off. Try not to sit on any sort of furniture or towel because it will bleach it, and it may dry you out."

"I will take the Dr. Idriss Soft Wash Complete Daily Cleanser, apply it, warm it up in my hands, and apply it to dry skin and allow it to melt my makeup while I open my eyes. And if I need a second pass, I will use it twice. It is as simple as that."

"For me, the way I take off my makeup, I use my Soft Wash on my face when my skin is dry. I warm it up with water and then I apply it to my face, and then I take a wet washcloth and work it in around my eyes. The reason I use this is because I can open my eyes while I wash my face, which is key, and I don't have time to do a million steps at night, so no tears come out of this. It's one of the best washes because I've really worked the hardest to formulate a cleanser that I can open my eyes with. If you're somebody who wears hardcore makeup, you probably do need something to break up your makeup, but this is the most I wear and this is what I use on dry skin at night."

"I put a nice dime size amount in my hand and I warm it up with a little bit of water, then I go on my face dry and massage it into my face completely dry. I take a washcloth, wet it, and after I've massaged it in I use that to get everything off, and then I splash. It's amazing, it's amazing, it's amazing. The biggest thing in it is called poloxamer, which is also found in contact lens solutions, and it also has a surfactant that is non-stripping that marries oil to water, so that's why it makes it a good one to remove the makeup. It's glycerin loaded so it's obviously hydrating. There's no fragrance, it is cruelty free, fragrance free. The pH of the cleanser is 5 to 5.5, which is the ideal range for a cleanser because you want to be slightly acidic so that you maintain your skin barrier intact, so it's not going to cause you to burn, break out, it's not going to breed bacteria on your skin, it's not going to dry you out, and it's not going to cause you to get oilier. It's been clinically tested. We did a clinical study in which they used a VISIA scanner with people wearing either sunscreen or makeup, had them wash their face, and took pictures of their faces right after, and it was shown to remove it all, which is amazing."

"This is Soft Wash. This is the one, if I had a gun to my head and had to answer which one would I recommend for everyone, it would be this, because everyone needs to wash their face, and it is a gentle cleanser. This is so easy and so beautiful. When I wash my face I apply it, I warm it up with water and apply it to dry skin with a little bit of warmed up water in my palm, and I open my eyes when I wash my face, and I will take a wet washcloth and kind of do a little cleanup."

The added bonus of Nizoral is that it can also help if you're somebody struggling with hair loss or hair thinning because it can block your dihydrotestosterone, a hormone that contributes to hair loss, therefore allowing your hair to stay on your head longer. The most important thing when it comes to this shampoo is to let it get some quality time with your scalp, allowing it to sit on your scalp to do its thing before you rinse it off."

"Nizoral shampoo, which is known as Ketoconazole, is a great adjunct for you to be using if you are losing your hair and you do not know why. Ketoconazole is an anti-fungal medication available prescription at two percent, over the counter at one percent. Using this is a great adjunct if you're losing your hair because it helps by decreasing any sort of inflammation on your scalp, it kills any kind of fungus, the malassezia fungus which causes dandruff which may contribute to hair loss. It has been shown to basically block dihydrotestosterone, also known as DHT, which is in your hair and which leads to your hair staying small and short, the miniaturization of your hair that is one of the leading causes of female and male pattern hair loss. We're not 100 percent sure about that but we think that's how it works. And it also makes your hair appear fuller by making it appear thicker because it increases the diameter of your hair."

"Using an antifungal shampoo like Nizoral, which is available over the counter, will help with a fungal folliculitis, but it will do nothing for a bacterial folliculitis, which can then become full-blown acne if it goes untreated. This is why the treatment for folliculitis varies widely and seeing a dermatologist to understand whether yours is fungal or bacterial is important before reaching for it."

"Neutrogena T/Gel, which in my opinion was one of the most available options on the market, is no longer available. I don't know why they discontinued it, but they did."

"Neutrogena T/Gel Shampoo is a scalp therapy anti-dandruff shampoo with scalp buildup control and 2.5% salicylic acid. Just make sure that you massage it to your scalp to really get in on your scalp so it can do the thing it needs to do. The shampoo smells nice. I was shocked because it is with apple cider vinegar and so I do not associate the scent of apple cider vinegar as a refreshing scent, but the scent of the shampoo is actually quite refreshing."

"This is a very lightweight non-greasy serum that you apply directly onto the scalp. It will make your hair look a little bit wet when you apply it to your scalp but the next day you don't have any weird frizz or textural issues. It helps to reduce shedding and promote natural hair growth. Plus it has amaranthus cactus seed extract which helps to increase the diameter of hair fibers for fuller thicker looking hair and it has other things within that extract including peptides polysaccharides vitamins amino acids. They also have an anti-gray complex in it that supposedly has antioxidants in it that help reduce the look of gray hairs. I use it every night and it does not mess up my hairstyle the next day and that's what I think is most fascinating about this serum whereas other products that I've used mess up my hair and I have to wash it the next day."

"I love this serum because your hair does not look greasy the next day. You can use it every night and your hair does not look like it has product in it. It just kind of vanishes and does a beautiful job while supposedly helping minimize the appearance of gray hair. It definitely does help with the density, I think in combination with everything else that I've been doing."

"I was extremely skeptical of this serum when I first bought it because I was like is this going to be another issue where when you apply it to your hair your hair looks messed up, but I am shocked that when I use it at night my hair does not look worse in the morning so I'm continuing to use it. "A313 is a cult favorite in France. A lot of bloggers are like I don't understand the value of this because it's so light. Yes, it is light. It's a combination of some of the lightest retinoids on the market which are the retinol esters, retinol acetate, petate and propionate. But what's amazing about this is that it has some sort of like magic voodoo in it where your face has an instant effect the next morning and you look somewhat smoother. But you will be itchy. I still get itchy. I can't fully tolerate it all the time. I'm not going to lie. But it does give a nice instant gratification the next day if you can tolerate it. And even though it is lighter, you do have more of that instant gratification, so it's going to make you want to use it to get long-term gain."

"A313 is honestly I love this. It's very light but I love it why because it does some magic Voodoo on your face where the next day you wake up looking airbrushed. But I will say when I put it on I do get itchy and sometimes I can't tolerate it. I think it depends on your barrier that day."

"A313 by the French is a combination of three different types of retinol esters including retinyl palmitate, retinyl acetate, and retinol propionate. It is very light but do not be fooled it does give an instant sort of glow the next day where your skin just feels tight and beautiful, but it can also be itchy when you apply it. It is a beautiful gel-like texture that goes on to your skin. Never use any sort of retinoid around this area because you will shed like a snake. I still can't tolerate it, it is what it is."

"The A313, it is a French Pharmacy cult favorite made up of three different retinol esters. This is good for beginners. Is it great for the veterans out there? Probably not. But there is one Hocus Pocus thing about this product: you get some instant gratification the next day, which is odd even to me, but you look better. I can't explain it."

"Kiehl's Micro-Dose retinol for $65 is a gentle formula, but it is a tried and true for people who use retinol. Not necessarily for beginners, but something that you may want to check out."

"Kiehl's Micro-Dose Retinol is, I believe, around 0.1%, though they don't disclose it. It has retinol, peptides and ceramides in it and it's a very great beginner's retinol product, the lightest one I found at Sephora."

"e.l.f. has their Youth Boosting Advanced Night Retinoid Serum which is a mix of Granactive Retinoid, also known as hydroxypinacolone retinoate, which is what you find in Caroline Hirons' retinoid as well as 0.06% retinal and other antioxidants. It's a mix of various different types of retinols on the market. It has a very very light scent to it but nothing crazy or repulsive. It is great for people who are beginners who want to actually grow beyond peptides into the retinol world but cannot fully tolerate stronger retinol or even a prescription active retinoid. Hydroxypinacolone retinoate tends to be gentler on the skin while supposedly delivering as effective results or close to effective results as an active form, which is the prescription. I'd put it on your neck and chest first and start low and go slow, maybe two or three times a week at most, and work your way up from there."

"I really do like their Youth Boosting Advanced Night Retinoid Serum. There is some misleading marketing actually. They say one percent Gran active retinoid but one percent active retinoid is like point one percent hydroxypinacolone retinoate. Hydroxypinacolone retinoate is the cousin of tretinoin, the active form of retinol, so it's not exactly one percent, it is 0.1 percent. It's a great beginner's retinol, there's nothing wrong with it. It comes in a pump, it has a very bright orange color to it, that's all you really need for your whole face, and at 22 bucks you might as well give it a try and see if you can tolerate it, especially if you're very sensitive. It's a good one to start with."

"Granactive retinoids are a class of retinoic acid, so it's a cousin of the prescription. It's stronger than retinol and it works faster because it automatically works within your cell, but it is less irritating. So it is an interesting one to try if you've never been able to tolerate a retinol or a retinoid or a retinal ester. You may be able to tolerate this one."

"The Ordinary has their Granactive Retinoid and I'm mentioning this one last because when you look at the label on the Granactive Retinoid you are going to think that it comes at 2%, but it doesn't. This is an emulsion at 2% and the active form of the retinoic acid ester in here comes at 0.2%. So it is like a beginner's retinoid."

"Aquaphor wins when it comes to the body because they have an ointment body spray which I am obsessed with. It is an ointment that you can literally spray on your skin without getting that crazy greasiness of an ointment that you're using on your skin, and it just gets dispersed more evenly. At night, if it's very dry and you're going to wash your hair the next morning, you can put it on your face, or you can maybe spray it on your hands first and then apply it to your face if you don't want to ruin your hair, but you can actually use this to lock in the rest on your face. I will argue that it is actually much more elegant than slugging with just Vaseline. It's great for covering more areas, and it is great for the body as well. "Peter Thomas Roth has a $52 10% Sulfur Mask that does not stink unlike the D Cruz which really does smell bad. This one smells kind of like a spa. It is a clay mask with kaolin and Bentonite clays to help absorb excess oil and purify the skin. It also has aloe vera to help calm the skin down. So this is a great option for a full face of acne and one that I would say is really easy and really nice and hydrating and delicate on the skin. You don't feel like your skin feels over stripped when you use this."

So if you have really inflamed pimples, you don't want to cause any sort of inflammation to that and make things worse. You need to exfoliate, but you've got to time that exfoliation so that you're not inflaming your skin, and that is where these come in, to minimize that redness so you can gently help those pimples get extracted without causing more damage."

"If you do put on a color, I'll use a lip pencil like Huda Beauty's lip pencil. You can definitely then apply it on top and it's beautiful throughout the day."

It will probably come back within an hour, but you will look better in the short term when you use this. If you do not have the cash to go see a provider, or you like things that you do yourself, this can look very questionable by the side of your bed. If you don't use it, you don't see any benefit from it. If you use it, you will see benefit from it. When you stop using it, you will no longer see any benefit from it. You only get the benefit from it as long as you use it."

"You'll look more snatched, having less puffiness, because you're mechanically moving that fluid around by the actions you use with this device, kind of like a face roller, minus the electrical currents. But this has electrical currents, producing ATP, which a roller doesn't, so this is going to help stimulate all your skin, your collagen production, your muscle stimulation, etc. It's a great device. Honestly, I've had this, I had the Zip, and I think I prefer this to the Zip. It seems more intuitive. The Zip, for me, never quite gelled, but it's about you and your preference. Make sure to soak a cotton pad with this and apply it to your face after washing your face, but use it at night because it can make you more sun sensitive."

"This is seven percent glycolic acid so this is great for beginners. It's a toning solution, it's very watery and it comes in a nice dropper. At thirteen dollars it's not going to break the bank and it's worth testing on a spot if you're sensitive."

"This is a 7% glycolic acid and it works like magic. The nozzle top really helps to get it into the areas that you want to apply it on your scalp. You let it sit before you shower, allowing the glycolic acid to dissolve those bonds between the dead skin cells and help your skin exfoliate itself, but also hydrate your scalp in the process. If you're itchy and really dry, this is something I would really strongly recommend because in the long run it's also going to help retain the moisture on your scalp so it doesn't get as dry as easily.
