★ Best dry shampoo
Perfect Hair Day Dry Shampoo
Living Proof Perfect Hair Day Dry Shampoo
Brought up 5 times
My living proof has been getting clogged. This is actually the second time that I've been using the Living Proof dry shampoo and after a few days the nozzle won't go anymore. This is a second bottle where it's been like a full bottle and I've just been like so sucks.
★ Best daytime moisturizer
Ultra Facial Cream
Kiehl's Ultra Facial Cream
Brought up 4 times
I usually use Kiehl's Ultra Facial Cream for my moisturizer. I love it, it's my favorite daytime moisturizer. It's perfect, it's simple, there's nothing in it. It's moisturizing without being too heavy. It doesn't leave me looking oily or too shiny or anything.
★ Best sunscreen
Birch Juice Moisturizing Sunscreen SPF 50 PA++++
Round Lab Birch Juice Moisturizing Sunscreen SPF 50 PA++++

I have switched my face sunscreen to the Round Lab Birch Juice. Which a lot of you also love. So, I love hearing that.

This is a brush from Rare Beauty. It's not a bad brush. I think it's the powder brush. It doesn't have a name on it. Um, and it has synthetic fibers.

I received these mascaras in PR and they just didn't work for me. They didn't hold my lashes and I didn't really like the applicator. I was initially like, 'Oh, I might like this,' but it just didn't work for me. I tried giving it another shot, letting it dry out for a few weeks, but my lashes just don't trust it. I have extremely straight, flat lashes that don't want to hold a curl, so if a mascara can't work on me, it's not going to work on most people. Not a fan of these, unfortunately.

I've been trying so hard to love Prequel. I understand that basically one of the ingredients that Prequel revolves around is glycerin and I love that idea. I want to love it. It doesn't work for me. This is the Multi-Quench Plumping Hydration Serum. It doesn't matter what I do, doesn't matter how little I use, doesn't matter what layering, if I use it on its own, it doesn't matter. It pills on me no matter what. And that seems to be the case with glycerin products. In leave on products, it just doesn't work for me. And even if I wear it at night, when I'm just going to bed, the second I touch my face because I have a little scratch or like a cat hair, it pills. I just hate it. I hate it. And I want to love it and I want to love all of the products from Prequel, but for whatever reason, the vast majority of them just don't really work for me that well.

The Oral B brush heads, first of all, they're plastic, wasteful. Second, there are so many components because it is one of those twisting ones for moisture to get into, for water to get into, and no matter how much I dry it pointing down so that water doesn't get up in there, and then I shake out the stupid brush head, it just feels like there's moisture getting caught everywhere. It's like so gross to me. I don't like that.

"I feel like the aqua color is everything I've ever needed in my entire life, it's absolutely beautiful. I would highly recommend it, I don't know if Blend Bunny still has this palette available, but it is perfection. You're surprised at how much you need it because it has neutrals in here, it's got a lot of really beautiful warm tones, but those pops of color are perfect. [...] I don't ever need to create a palette because this is the one I feel like I would want, [...] this has everything that I need, I love it so much. "Stone Cold Fox, also from ColourPop, one of my absolute favorites. Like so gorgeous, lots of taupes, lots of earthy, it's slightly more like on the cool-toned side in general, more like muted and less traditional kind of like nude tones. So we have lots of different variations you can see in this palette. You have the bluest-toned gray that exists in this palette, which is more blue-toned, [...] but it's not too cool-toned in my opinion. It's not like too too blue, and I like that it is involved with all of these kind of like taupey shades. So you can sort of mix and go back and forth. And on this side we're more of a taupe shade. [...] So we have those nice variations in tones. This is just like a really nice palette to have. Whenever I don't really know what to use for a neutral palette because it has so many options, I often reach for this one."

"First of all, beautiful color. Have you ever seen anything blend out so beautifully? Like a cream eyeshadow blend out into like the most beautiful like sheer wash of even stunning gunmetal. You can also build on top of it. It's not like those cream eyeshadows or eye paints that just thicken up and then you can't build on top of it. This color really spoke to me when I first tried it because it's just like not your typical shade. When I look at the pearl it looks like there's little bits of lavender pearl in there which just gives it this something a little bit different. It's not like a strictly dark gray black base and then a silver pearl. There's just something different about it."

"It's the Essence Stay and Play gel liner in the shade Black Raven. It's quite creamy and easy to blend. Because it's waterproof, I can use a blending brush to press it into the lash line to soften that liner. [...] I like the split design, it's [...] literally one half of the wand is a comb and one half is a brush, which is intriguing to me. "My Hindash Beautopsy Palette, this is one of my favorite palettes in the entire world. I think it might be my most used eyeshadow palette ever. Just mixing between that brown and that gray, I'm going in and setting and just kind of smudging, adding a little bit more depth, a little bit more softness. The tiniest amounts you can hardly see that I'm even putting anything up there, but I am just the teeniest teeniest amounts slowly building and then buffing into that winged liner, which is just going to soften it a little bit and make it not look too grungy."

It says it's a washable Paradise Big Deal buildable washable mascara. I actually really like it. I want this in brown. It gave my lashes like length, not like a ton of volume, but I would say mostly length and it lifted them. That's actually really nice for a non-waterproof mascara. [...] So I'm going to focus at the base of the lashes so that I am not coating the falsies in a bunch of black mascara because I want them to maintain their fluttery tips. If you hate tight lining but you feel like you need to do it because your lashes end up looking really obvious, this is a really good option because you don't have to completely tight line. You can still see the skin under there. It just kind of makes the falsies look more one with my natural lashes because I'm not really putting it in my tight line, I'm just kind of drawing basically little lines, little dots to kind of thicken up the lash area, and then it just ends up looking way better."

"It's a heavy formula, it's very wet, and when I put it on my lashes, a lot goes down. So it is very thickening, but it's extremely heavy and wet. If you are like me and you have a problem with your lashes falling flat, not holding a curl, or just being weighed down, you're not going to like this at all. If you already have curly lashes or you don't have a problem with mascaras weighing your lashes down, it is very thickening, so if you have really skinny lashes and you want extra volume, it might be worth looking into. But I just know that it does not work for me at all."

If like me you've been using a cornstarch powder and you're like oh, maybe this is breaking me out, in place of cornstarch though, you could use rice based powders. "I love this so much, this might actually be my favorite Fenty product that's launched in a long time. What I love about it so much is that unlike other setting mists, a lot of them end up making your makeup look too dewy. You have this beautiful matte finish and then once you go in with your setting mist it ends up making your skin look a little bit more wet. But this is a really great non-aerosol setting mist for people who don't want that. You finish your makeup and you want it to look that way. You don't want too much hydration, you just want to make sure that it's staying put."

"This is described as a natural airbrush foundation and when I tell you it legitimately blurs the skin I was shocked by this. It's very similar to me to the MAC foundation but there's a little bit more moisture in it in my opinion. It's a little darker and a little bit more on the orangey side. It's a little dark for me, I typically will use a more brightening concealer when I use this foundation, but I have to say in terms of full coverage foundations that are going to provide a really flawless base this is a winner. This is an absolute winner. I really love that while the packaging isn't anything super special it's really great for travel. It's very lightweight, which I think speaks to the sort of slightly mousey formula. It just feels a little less ever so slightly less dry than other foundations. And it gives you nice working time to your skin."

Used underneath concealer with the color corrector, it makes a beautiful finish and I'm loving it. If you don't have hollows, or you have hollows but aren't dealing with darkness, this could be a really beautiful combo because the illuminator by itself is incredibly light and comfortable on the skin. I just kind of blended my nose contour with my finger same with the contour around my lips. I like these a lot. I think that they're impactful while remaining very wearable and simple to use. The formula itself is really easy to work with. When I used the product and I kind of just dotted it on my skin it didn't do that thing that a lot of serum formulas do where it starts to dry up and set quickly. Especially putting on top of a foundation sometimes it can be a little too runny and then it can end up creating a little bit of a patch where it removes the coverage of your foundation. I didn't have that problem with these at all. I would dot dot go in and blend go in and blend and it was completely fine. It wasn't removing product so I'm very excited about these. Fair feels a little too light and too pink for me, but very pretty when I shear it out. It's nice. I like it better than I thought. The satin cream, it's not bad. I like it. I feel like I just want to wear it with a lip liner, but no, it's not bad. It's actually pretty. I feel like it would be because of the pink, it feels like it would be a little bit better for like a slightly more cool-toned fair. Regular old Pillow Talk, the matte has just like a square applicator. I don't really know why. I don't know which one I like better. I think I like the regular one better, but I don't know. "The Omnia Pillow was specifically designed to prevent sleep wrinkles. It was designed by orthopedists to make sure that you have proper posture while you're sleeping. What's really nice is it has these tiny little grooves in here, so your face just sort of nestles in here while you're sleeping and it just protects the delicate center of your face, especially those under eyes, whereas a typical pillow doesn't have those grooves. So you're just like mushed against it, which just causes all of this creased skin. And let's face it, you're sleeping for 8 hours. The finish looks very soft, and it smoothed things out nicely without looking overly matte or dry. The coverage is really nice and seems relatively buildable. I really really love the finish, I'm very happy with my base, it looks beautiful and feels really comfy. But it's the age-old struggle of getting a foundation light enough that's actually my undertone. "If you've been following my channel for a long time then you know I was obsessed with this. It was the only foundation I was wearing for such a long time. This is the skin balancing foundation with hyaluronic acid and adaptogens. It's kind of like a medium full coverage to be completely honest with you. It is really soft, really smoothing. It's meant to like really melt into the skin and mimic skin. It's literally called the skin balancing foundation, so it's supposed to work with your skin with your skin type. So if you are dry it's supposed to like balance that by adding moisture, and if you're oily it's supposed to balance that by like not absorbing the moisture. But basically it's supposed to adapt to your skin type. And I have to say, my experience with this foundation has been nothing but positive every single time I've used it."

"What's nice about this foundation is that a little bit goes a long way. I personally think that one of the best ways to apply it is with the little pad it helps to prevent from manipulating any formulas, you know, you're not adding moisture with like a damp sponge. With brushes you could use a brush but brushes I just always end up with streaks. It just doesn't soak up as much of the product. For a more matte and also full coverage foundation, it's just providing so much beautiful coverage without looking heavy on the skin. My skin still just looks like skin. It feels incredibly lightweight, which is true of all of the formulas, which is really nice. It just doesn't feel like you're wearing a ton of makeup when you apply it."

[...] About Face already proved to me that they were creating beautiful olive tones when they launched their initial foundation. They do have some really beautiful olive tones, like true olive tones. The one that I've been using is F2 Olive, which is quite nice. It's maybe like a shade half a shade dark for my skin, and it's ever so slightly more on the neutral olive side. "This is the shade 21. It's like a little bit peachy but it's really light. It's kind of replaced my [Haus Labs] concealer. There's just a little bit more peach in the Live Tinted one. The Live Tinted formula is a little bit more like lightweight feeling on the skin. I've been really loving it for like highlighting areas of the face, using it underneath my eyes, forehead, chin, a little bit around my nose. It's not the most full coverage concealer in the entire world. In terms of buildability and formula, it's actually closeish to the [Haus Labs] foundation like in the form of a concealer. It is very creamy. It feels really nice. It has like a nice set time, too. It stays put. And there's something about the color that I just feel like brings a little bit more life to my under eyes, especially because my dark circles have been extra dark. "This is a 24-hour matte foundation with oil control. As a person who is a little bit on the oily side, it's not ridiculously matte and it's not a ridiculously drying formula. I tend to prefer my foundations to be a little bit more on the satin side, and this is a beautiful formula. It creates a flawless base for your makeup and it stays put all day. When they say 24-hour wear, they mean it. The main reason it's described as a matte foundation with oil control is that it absolutely just stays looking exactly the way you applied it all day long. This is the foundation that I brought with me when I went to London because I knew I was going to be having long days. When I know that I need something to last and perform, this is the foundation that I choose. It has a very sort of mousey texture to it. [...] It has that like chemically like almost sulfuric like I just got some on my nose scent to it. [...] The formula is like nice enough. It's like it's kind of like a gel somewhere between like a gel and a cream moisturizer. So, it glides really nicely on the skin. [...] It's described as non-greasy and lightweight. I would agree with that. And to be honest with you, it did a pretty decent job. Like it was gentle enough, but it definitely like exfoliated well. So, it's actually quite nice. But like because the scent is so nasty, I actually think that I'm going to stop using exfoliating moisturizers."

"This is the Anua 3 Ceramide Panthenol moisturizer barrier cream. So this is what I use on the days when I'm using my tretinoin. If I have exfoliated I use something a little bit more moisturizing. That's what I use. And it's just really great. I love it. What I love about this in terms of barrier creams is most of the time they're very very heavy. And this isn't, it's not super heavy. It is very moisturizing but it has a more lightweight feel on the skin. So if you're someone who's congestion prone or if you just don't like to feel super oily, this is really, really, really good. And sometimes if I have gone in a little bit too much with my exfoliation, I'll use it in the daytime and it doesn't feel like it's sitting on top of my skin and I can actually apply my sunscreen. Sometimes when you use a more moisturizing moisturizer, it just feels like it sits on top of your skin and then when you go in with your sunscreen, they mix together and you're just kind of messing everything up. So yeah, really good. I've already repurchased this and I will be repurchasing this for the foreseeable future."

It's very moisturizing because it's got the squalane oil but it is not greasy, it's not too heavy. A little bit goes a long way which is nice, but it doesn't make your skin look like it's dripping. This is actually my favorite moisturizer to prep my skin for makeup. I like to use their collagen serum and then this moisturizer and then I do my makeup. It is the most beautiful base. I love it so much. It does go a long way which is nice. The only thing is the packaging. It's very difficult to get the stuff that's at the bottom with this glass packaging. "Olaplex Volumizing Blow Dry Mist is one of my favorite volumizers, especially when my hair is nice and short. Olaplex is great, it's also got a built-in heat protection which is amazing. So what I really like about this is that I obviously will focus it at my roots, so my roots are not only going to be volumized, which is where I want the volume, but also the heat protection is there, and then I can focus the rest of my heat protection mist on the outer part of my hair. I have very fine hair, it tends to get oily, so I don't like having a lot of heat protection mists that are just really oily and heavy, having it deep down at my roots just kind of makes my hair look more greasy, so it's really nice to not have that. This is just a very very gentle lift, it's not heavy, it doesn't weigh the hair down like a lot of mousses can, especially if you have very very short hair. When my hair is real short, I just don't need to be using [...] a mousse or anything like that. It's really good. "What I love about this so much is it's not aerosol. It's a little mister. It's probably the best dry shampoo that I've ever used if I had to pick one. It's literally just like a little mist. If you're not careful and you don't mix it up well enough, sometimes you can get little white spots on your forehead. But you basically just mist it and leave it for like a minute or something and then you can just brush it through. It just makes your hair look so clean. Here's the reason I like it: you hold it four to six inches away, whereas with a traditional aerosol dry shampoo, they say to do like 8 to 10. So you can get a little bit closer to your scalp, which means that you're omitting the ends of your hair. If you color your hair or have dry hair, your ends are probably a little bit more dry, so I don't need dry shampoo in my ends. I want to be able to get closer to my scalp so that I'm not drying out the ends of my hair. This has replaced all my other dry shampoos. I just bought the full size and another travel size."

"Paula's Choice azelaic acid 10% booster really saved my skin when I was going through a crazy breakout phase. "I actually really liked this mist, and [...] it's not a bad formula and this will work for some of you. The reason that it is a nope for me is I got bleached hair. [...] When I would mist it on my face, the perimeter of my hairline was turning orange. [...] I thought maybe it was from washing my face, like I was going too close to my hairline, and then I realized that it was this. There's just no way for me to use it without that happening, even when I would wear headbands, somehow it would get underneath it. So I have had to say farewell to the Cally Grape Water Mist. I do really like it if you have warmer colored, deeper hair, then you're probably fine, but I can't use it anymore."

"I like to go in with a little bit of the Snail Mucin 96, the power essence. I've gone through all of the snail mucin from COSRX, and I kind of like them all honestly. I'm using this one right now. It's fantastic for kind of like trapping in that moisture, so if you're trying to heal dehydrated skin, it's really, really great for that. I find it to be much more effective for my skin than hyaluronic acid, but it might be something good to use on top of hyaluronic acid."

"If you're interested in this and you want snail mucin and niacinamide just in one go, it's a really good product. I feel like it lasts relatively long, I'd usually just use a pump or two. It's more so a daytime thing, though sometimes I use it at night."

"I'm going to use the Lisa Eldridge Mist. You want your skin to be really well hydrated, and then if you have something with a good grip to it, like a little bit of a stick, that's what's really going to hold all of the makeup so it doesn't go anywhere."

"I'm going to be using my Tower 28 mist. I need like mist, I just it's been sitting for a minute and I want to rehydrate it so it's not too dry. It has like a very lightweight feel which is really nice, doesn't feel heavy at all."

"Tatcha Dewy Skin Mist is probably like the most popular one. I feel like the most iconic one. It is super hydrating. So, if you're like really dry and you need to like rehydrate throughout the day, that's a great thing. Like, just buy the mini one, keep it in your bag, and just a quick mist to just sort of like bring the skin back to life. That's a great supplement. If you are doing all the other steps and they're not necessarily doing everything that you need or maybe you just feel like you're missing a little, your skin is missing a little bit of life like halfway through the day and you need a little pickme up."

"A product that I've really been liking is this L'Oreal Revitalift hyaluronic acid and caffeine under eye serum. One of the things that I really like about it, caffeine is supposed to help promote blood flow basically. The hyaluronic acid is very hydrating. I like this because it has a really nice lightweight hydration and it creates a little bit of a grip if you struggle with your concealer staying in place. It has these little metal balls, like ball bearings, that just kind of glide over the under eye. If you deal with puffiness and you need to reduce inflammation, if you wake up in the morning and you're just fluffy, then this can be really helpful if you need to be somewhere early. These little ball bearings just stay nice and cool and they can help to really cool down that area. I don't get puffiness and I don't even really care too much about the ball bearings because I don't necessarily need that. But I do like the serum actually. It's quite nice. I like it a lot."

"I will apply the teeny tiniest little bit of the Olay Retinol 24 Eye Cream, okay teeny tiniest little bit. What I mean is this: I do this amount and I split that between my fingers so I'll split it, just the teeny tiniest little amount, literally just like here underneath my eyes from like here, just like that. If I take it up any higher my eyelids will get irritated, so I'm not trying to dehydrate my eyelids."

"I have been loving recently Nikki La Rose her collab with BK Beauty, the number 16 brush. Let me tell you why. So she has this beautiful bristle variation all up here, which just really helps with that blending. You have like much more density in the center of the brush and then as you get out to the outer edges you have this nice bristle variation. What I also like about it is that it's a little bit wider, it's wider going this way and then when you turn it it gets a little bit thinner which is amazing for people like me who need to have a little bit more precision in these tiny areas."

"They have the copper pillowcase in which copper threads are woven into the tensil pillowcase preserving the natural strength of copper molecules. Copper actually helps to heal the skin, reduces skin inflammation and rashes by preventing harmful bacteria from building up and other organisms from spreading. It provides an anti-acne effect. Copper prevents acne by killing propionibacterium acnes, an acne-causing bacteria that lives on the face. Copper can also help to stimulate collagen, which promotes elastin, which is going to help keep the skin looking young. I highly recommend it. I love it so much."

Masks & Peels6 reviews
"I started using this from Paula's Choice. This is the 6% mandelic acid and 2% lactic acid. My skin likes lactic acid. It likes mandelic acid, which is very gentle. In the past I was just trying to get my skin to like harsher exfoliants. It just doesn't like it, just does not. And then I remembered that back in the day my skin really responded to lactic acid. So I was like, 'Oh, I might as well just like try this slightly more gentle liquid exfoliant.' I just put it out on a cotton pad and wipe it on my face. It's quite nice. It's gentle enough. I've seen definitely like an increase in positivity in my skin. It does a really good job of like just managing breakouts. And because it's nice and gentle, it's been like a very good counterpoint to my increase in tretinoin."

"They usually sell like a set of Sheet Masks and my favorites are the Dr. Jart+ Sheet Masks. This one is the Ceramide one, big fan of ceramides. They've just been very very helpful with my skin barrier, especially since I started Tretinoin again. I had to take a little break and use a retinol that was like a little less effective, so I experienced a little bit of purge, some flaking, some dryness. Ceramides are so helpful if you are experiencing that or if you're starting Tretinoin or if you're starting a retinol. I always pick up like at least one of their packs. They have the blue one, the green one, it's all like hydrating. If it says hydrating I'm picking it up."

"Soap is the only thing. This is the best one. I keep it in a little baggie. It's Pears soap. It's really great because it's translucent and it has a little bit of that yellow tinge so it doesn't leave that white like residue in your hair. You don't need a lot of it. You just put a little bit of water or like I like to use a setting spray and then a spoolie. Brush your hair. Nothing keeps your brow hairs in place like soap. Nothing. If you are looking for something because you have very very stubborn hairs, I'm telling you, give up on all the brow products and just buy this. Like I got it on Amazon. It's so cheap. Usually I think I get like a two pack. I just have them. And look, I cut off a chunk and I put it in my like travel makeup bag for when I travel. So like you don't need anything. It lasts forever. It's so cheap. It's so good. Especially for someone who's doing their brows all the time."

"I got this little sample at a YouTube event where Jo Malone was part of it. It is so delicious, it smells exactly like a ginger biscuit. [...] I love it so much. [...] With this one, Jo Malone is giving Maison Margiela a run for their money, because they really nailed the replica. This should be a replica, because it smells exactly like a ginger biscuit, 100%. It's got that sweet, it's got that ginger, which I love. I love a gingery, spicy scent: slightly sweet, slightly spicy, a little bit of grounding, which it needs so that it's not too much. It's perfect for layering."

"It has that warmth and a little bit of that clean scent, it's not overwhelming, it's not too much. It's a perfect combination of clean warmth that is its perfection for daily wear. Like I would absolutely wear this on a plane. This has absolutely become my go-to everyday fragrance. I love it so much. It works perfectly and what I love about it is that it feels like it'll work for every season. It's not too like sometimes there are certain fragrances that feel very much like a fall winter fragrance, and wearing that in the summertime it just doesn't really work. This feels like it'll translate into spring and summer which I love. The packaging is very attractive, it's simple but it's pretty, it'll look nice on your nightstand or in your bathroom or wherever you keep it. It has sweet violet which I don't know that I do, I smell sweet violet a little bit now that I'm thinking about it. And it shares the warm musky bass notes."

"Current Body reached out to me and sent me their mask, which I like a lot better. It just contours to the face more. "I've done sessions on my lower legs just in the spots where I needed it and I haven't had to use it since three or four months, and I've never had laser on my legs so I'm very happy with the results. It's so nice you don't have to make an appointment and go somewhere. I can just do it at home and it fits into my schedule perfectly. I was very pleasantly surprised by this whole experience. If you've ever had professional laser done, you can't wear deodorant, and then you go out in summer when it's 115 degrees and you're boiling, and it's very uncomfortable. And then afterwards you can't shower for like 24 hours, it's just a lot. So to be able to handle this at home is so nice. And considering the full price is $249, I spent that much in essentially two sessions of going and getting it done professionally. With my discount code it's $199, which makes it cheaper than two professional sessions. I'm really glad that I tried it."

"I'm using a retinal from Medik8, which is one of my favorite brands. They're expensive but most of the products that I've used from them I've really loved. [...] This is the Medik8 Crystal Retinal 20, which is much higher. They have [...] a series of retinals and you can start with the lowest percentage and kind of work your way up, which is really great. It's a stable retinol retinal night serum. [...] It's not quite as strong as my other retinol, and so I've seen quite the reduction in irritation, which has been fantastic. It is very expensive and it's bright orange, which is really annoying, so [...] I sleep on a black silk pillowcase because this will stain the hell out of your pillowcases, which is really annoying.
