MA Mad About Skin Yay
“The packaging is really easy to use, it's squishy, and I actually find myself using it all day because it's a beautiful tactile product with packaging done right. It's really easy to apply the right amount because it's got a real precision nozzle. It hydrates, it plumps, so it minimizes the appearance of any aging that you might have on the hands. It calms, it soothes, it does it all. But why I love this is it doesn't leave a greasy film on your keyboard. So if you're somebody that hates applying Hand Cream because everything comes across greasy, not with this. It's rare for me to get excited about Hand Cream. This one, I genuinely love it.”

“The overall formula of the product itself is the best part. This is a lighter weight formula, but it still leaves very rich hydration even though it's not as thick of a cream, and it has the complementary vehicle of hydration, occlusive, and peptides. We heard the feedback that the old packaging was hard to open, so we added a lip you can grip with your nail or a ring, and a wider opening so it's easier to squeeze everything out. It's still not super easy to open, but it's easier. The new Hand Cream has peptides as the main ingredient and is retinol free, which works well for people who only want to use retinol at night or who are pregnant and don't want retinol on their hands. The original Hand Cream has retinol in it, which is better if you want deep repair for sun damage, crepey skin, and fine lines, and it also helps with cuticle and nail quality. The new one is lighter, with less shea butter and more of a whipped texture, and it has a hydrophobic lipid complex that repels water, so it absorbs quickly, isn't greasy, and your hands still feel hydrated after multiple washes. Even with all the packaging errors, people have absolutely loved the formula.”

“Remedy follows very similar formulation principles when it comes to cleansers as well. So, cleansers from Remedy, cleansers from Vanicream are good options.”

MA Mad About Skin Yay
“This is my personal favorite. It keeps the oil levels in my oily skin in check, but it doesn't strip and dry. [...] Put this on for 60 seconds by just working it in, massaging it in. That is going to wake up the skin, get the lymphatic drainage going, and it's one of the really quickest ways of getting a little bit more in terms of bang for your buck from the rest of your routine. [...] Cleansing is just as important as your sunscreen, which comes at the end. These are the bookends of your routine. Get those wrong and there's no point doing anything in between in my view.”

“This cleanser is a cream to foam formula with a light foaming effect, fragrance free. It's very light, very gentle, and perfect for my skin type. This brand has such reasonable prices, it's now 12 fluid ounces for $18. I really love the textured container too, it's easy to grab even if your hands are wet, it's brilliant. And there's no niacinamide in it, so I'm setting this aside as one of my safe products for when I stop using niacinamide.”

“This is a new release from Remedy, a Hand Cream I've had a lot of time to test. I love the way this feels, it's absolutely a step up from the way Rare Beauty packaged their Hand Cream where you couldn't get the product out. This one is fun to use and the perfect size to keep by your bed. But I don't particularly like the opening, it's not easy to open, my partner struggled with it too, especially if you have press on or artificial nails. So it's pros and cons with this, but the formula is super nice and feels rich, great for the winter months. It has some retinol in it and I'm not seeing extra dryness from it, which would be my main concern.”

AB April Basi Yay
“Another option for acne prone skin is this one by Remedy Skin by Dr. Shah. It has niacinamide, which is great for oil control, especially if you eat a lot of oily foods, and it also has salicylic acid to really help get in there and get all that oil out of your skin. It also has green tea extract and ceramides to repair the skin barrier, since acne can be very destructive to your skin barrier. You cannot go wrong with this one.”
